Sending prayers for your brother, you and your family. I can understand the whole not going to the dr thing. im the same way. I was passing out like crazy, throwing up blood and still found the strength to put up a fight and kick and scream all the way to the hospital when my fiance forced me to go. |
All my prayers are coming your way, this is just tragic! The body is miraculous though, and I'm praying he will come back in perfect health. |
Praying for all of you. My husband is the same way...won't go to the doctor. |
Prayers going out <3 |
My brother's fever has come down a bit, and he apparently looks better than yesterday. I guess for awhile they were even concerned he might have hepatitis. They believe his liver is effected. He's on an IV & I'm hoping even if he continues to improve, that they keep him for a few days, so he can rest. I guess the hospital was so crowded that last night they had in what they called an overflow room - my mom said it was like a big ward. But a friend they new who is on the waiting list for a new kidney, called up his doctor, and this doctor who didn't even know my brother pulled some strings and got my brother into a private room this afternoon. The doctor even came in and talked with my brother & explained things better than anyone else had. He also suggested my brother see a uroligist. He's very concerned because men don't usually get kidney infection. Thank you for your continued prayers. My sister-in-law has a lot on her plate with a sick husband & 2 babies. |
Sending Prayers your way from Florida. |
Praying for your brothers speedy recovery. |
That's great news that he's doing a bit better now. I felt so bad when I talked to you this morning and you told me he was so sick! I didn't know then that he lived so far away and has small children too-I'm sure he was just trying to take care of them by working, and (like most men) thinking that "it's not that bad" until it was really bad! I'm glad he's under medical care now, and that things are improving. Please keep us updated on his progress! You, your brother and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. |
Improved Wanted to say thank you again for all the prayers. My brother is doing better, they kept watching his blood levels & decided he wasn't septic. I guess the IV filled with antibotics & whatever helped him. They let him go home Sunday night - good news. But the stinker went to work on Monday for a half day!! One doctor highly suggested my brother see a uroligist, because it is so incredibly unusual for a man to have kidney infection. Thinking there may be a blockage. He has an appointment with a uroligist today -- hopefully this will help. But also, I just found out that my brother had the snippy-snippy no more babies surgery a few weeks ago -- so I'm thinking the kidney infection might have been caused by some infection from the vasectomy procedure. Praying my brother uses common sense on getting well & resting vs. going to the almighty workplace. Also, praying the doctors find the cause. |
Sending prayers for a continued recovery. Your brother sounds like a hard worker that is too stubborn to listen to the Dr.'s. He should definitely check into the possibility that the infection is a result of the snippy-snippy. |
