Has anyone tried Alli diet pill? Just asking cause my mom just bought it, she hasn't opened it yet. |

It is just like Xenical (sp) that can be prescribed, but Alli is over the counter and cheaper (as insurance don't cover diet pills). Xenical will block fat (good and bad fat) and that means, it comes out. The side effects were nasty for it.....the fat comes out an orange color and it will stain (and even stain through clothes)...it can come out if you pass gas or just seep out. You always feel the urge to go (like you have the runs all the time)...and you better be able to get to a bathroom, and fast. The key for this NOT to happen is to NOT eat fatty foods...course, if you didn't eat the fatty foods, you wouldn't need to be on them because your diet would be okay. Yeah......it is hard not to eat fatty foods because most foods have fat (good or bad) in them and these pills block it all. It doesn't know good fat from bad fat...it just blocks it. I personally would say no way to that pill......but I think everyone I have talked to that as already tried it or has used Xenical, the side effects were the same for them all! YUCK!!! |

I know someone who took that and she had several blow outs :eek: ..... she was telling me about them & I laughed my rear off..... She was telling me that one time it happened at work and a co worker came up to her and told her she had a stain on the back of her pants :eek: ( they where white, :sidesplt: ) she wasn't even aware she had done anything.....she made a skid mark to the restroom and changed..... After the third oil spill,the pills are now in the trash :D ...... |
I've been on it for two weeks 3x a day with absolutely NO problems because I am on a low-fat diet....read the label!! You are not supposed to have more than 15 grams of fat with each tablet at your meal. People who are having accidents are eating way more fat than allowed. Taking Alli is not a license for you to go to the fast food restaurants thinking it will block the fat - also Alli is not for existing fat in your belly - only for the food you eat at each meal. I've been taking it hopefully to shed this last 7-10 pounds that's been hard for me to lose aftee the 35 I lost without it. You also won't see results for more than two months - you lose 10 pounds without Alli but taking it you lost 15 maybe. |
