So mad!!!! I wanted to start selling Avon to get some extra money before the wedding so I filled out the form on the internet. They said someone would contact me shortley but no one did. They also gave me a number to the regional manager or whatever so I called to her set up a meeting. We decided to meet on Monday at 5:00. She told me to call her Sunday night to confirm but I forgot all about it. So Monday at like noon I call her to make sure we are still meeting and she said that she thought she was done with meetings for the day so she is no longer in my area!!!! I was like okay I understand. I asked if we could try meeting again. So we decide on today at 2:30 at the Starbucks in town. I get there at about 2:28 and order my drink. I keep checking my clock and the time keeps going by. I waited around for 20 minutes and she never showed. She never called me or anything. I am so mad. So now I don't think I am going to sell Avon since I know I will have to deal with this lady and she doesn't seem very good. Don't you get something for getting people to sign up???? Sorry this is so long it just makes me really mad. I have a lot of things to do and one of them is not to wait on people. argggg....... |
I'm sorry your plans went bad. Why don't you see if there's someone else you can deal with. Call the district manager, and explain the situation. I hate waiting on people too, because I always try to be early or on time. |
So sorry that things have not turned out for you. Keep your chin up and keep trying new things. Something will come along. |
Thanks....I will try. I just thought Avon would be a great way to make a little extra money. |
Well, it seems that they have plenty of Avon representatives and don't want to take on new distributors. I'd check with Mary Kay, JMO. Good luck! |

Have you tried Pampered Chef? |
I would call the DM -- that would make me mad as well.... I would call her and ask her whats up. |
I'm an Avon rep and yes, you either get spiffed for adding someone to your downline or if you're a district manager, for adding a new rep. I would definately call the DM and find out what's going on. Mine in town here is great, she's the one who signed me up, so I'm in her 'downline'. So she's the one I always went to with questions if I couldn't get my answer online. |
also, if you want the lowdown on selling avon etc, just pm me. I'd be happy to share what I know. I've been selling for 2 years now. |
You could do pamper chef or tupperware. My grandmother does Mary Kay, and makes a killing. |
That's bad! I'm still wondering why you were the one who was supposed to call to confirm the meeting. Wouldn't you think she would do that? Either way, you still had an appointment with her that she should have kept. Then, to miss the next one?? If they don't need any more reps, she should be upfront about it so you can move on and find a better venture. If I were this lady's boss I would want to know how unprofessional she was. She represents Avon (as a company) and should do her best to represent it in a positive way. |

I was wondering that too. I e-mailed the lady on friday and just said that I was there waiting for her but she never e-mailed me back. I will let you know if she ever e-mails me back. I am not sure how pampered chef and tupperware would go over so I don't know if I want to do that. I am going to ask around and see if anyone is interested. It stinks because I had a lot of people that said they would buy Avon off of me. Thanks everyone for your input! |
