Thanks for the great tips!!!:) |
Awesome- I had never heard of most of those. I'm off to wash my lint trap right now. Thanks for posting these!:) |
I'm trying the fruit fly one right now...I'll let you all know if it works! |
My dryer screen is CLEAN! I ran it under water and the water just pooled on it. So I scrubbed it and rinsed it in really hot water and the water just went right through. I need to try to the fruit fly one. Those little buggers are everywhere! |
I made the deviled egg recipe and it turned out great. Thanks again. |
awesome!! can I add something to it?? we bought a dvd that shows a TON of "hints" here are a couple that I can remember off the top of my head. I have tried most of them and they WORK!!!!!!!!! 1. To clean the window on your oven door, or the drip pans under your stove eye, make a paste out of cream of tarter and white vinegar. apply it to the area that needs cleaned, wipe it with a wet cloth, and IT WORKS MAGIC!! 2. To store rolls of gift wrap without buying the bulky rubbermaid containers and having to find a place to store THOSE...then store your gift wrap in pantyhose. Insert one into each leg of the pantyhose, drape it over a hanger (you can put several pair of them on 1 hanger) and hang in your closet. Now you don't have to worry about the paper getting torn, or finding a place to store something big :) 3. FLIES...love to cook out but hate the flies?? Flies (and most insects) hate mint. So put a few mint leaves (or even a stick of mint gum) on your plate or where the food is and the flies will leave it alone. they say that mosquitoes and other insects will stay away as well... (this one I haven't tried but sounds good ;) ) 4. dirty/stained tile grout....put some whitening toothpaste on the grout and scrub with a toothbrush. it will whiten the grout easily :) 5. Do you like peanut butter on your ice cream? (I LOVE to melt peanut butter and put it over my ice cream as a topping) well, use the same idea as the deviled eggs, sorta LOL put the peanut butter in a zip lock baggie, put it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it up, cut a hole in the corner and squeeze the peanut butter onto your ice cream. then you can simply toss the baggie and not have to worry about cleaning up peanut butter. ok..those are the ones I can remember right now. I will share more as I think of them :) |
