console for a Divorce?
 
What can i do for my boss who broke down to me this morning telling me she is getting a divorce?

Her husband is also my boss, so I don't want to seem like I'm picking sides.

Can I get her flowers or something?

Shoot, get her a pedicure or something. Something relaxing that will take her mind off of it!

if you work for both of them, i would just stay out of it,,, cause it's going to get ugly...... just be a shoulder for her to cry on.. but don't give her any advice, it might cost you your job.....

yes , good answer, just keep out of it as much as you can.. do not take
any sides... let her know she has a shoulder to cry on and what she tells
you, keep it to yourself.... wow, this is going to get rough for you

Well said... Working for both of them is going to be tricky. The more you can stay out of it, the better. (Easier said than done, I'm sure.)

If you don't want to be a lit match between two sticks of dynamite I'd stay as far away from this as possible....this is a no win situation, especially if you value your job.....


If they do mention something stay neutral...Sorry to hear that...It must be difficult for you all....I hope things work out for everyone....etc....etc...

It isn't fun being in the middle, but finding your way out of it is even worse. I would just keep it very casual.

you don't need to console her. Stay out of it and if one or the other tries to put you in the middle, as it seems she iss already, tell them you are friends with them both and would rather not hear their personal problems. There is always a chance they will make up and if you have said anything to either party, you will be the bad guy.

You're in a pickle...and not a good place, right smack dab in the middle. No one can give you any advice, you, yourself know the circumstances and know what is the right thing to do.

do just what you did... listen... you can't tell her to go away because she obviously needs someoen to talk to.... but dont' do anything more... and make sure to not be any less friendly to her ex.... you don't want him thinking she is saying bad things about him and you are taking her side...
