More Surgery In Scotland As many of you know, Debra (Highland Yorkies) just had major reconstruction surgery last week. After several days of really poor care in the hospital, she checked herself out with the promise that she would stay in bed for 6 months and not lift anything. Kenny was keeping me updated. Weeeellllll last night Kenny was rushed to the hospital in extreme pain and as we speak is in surgery for a hernia operation. So poor Debra is there with Ashley, who is 17 today, a messy house and no food. Ashley can't drive yet. Debra and Ashley may have to go to Debra's mom's for awhile. Please keep them in your prayers. oh my...bless their hearts. i will def. keep them in my prayers. |
Oh no. When it rains, it pours. It would probably be best if they went to her mom's home. She can help take care of Debra after that dangerous surgery. |
That poor family. I am so sorry that Debra is going through this. I am sending my best wishes and prayers to her. |
Patty, thank you for the update. I will continue to keep Debra and her family in my thoughts and prayers. |
Poor Debra & Kenny! I'll remember both of them in my prayers. |
That's terrible!!! I will pray for both of them. |
I just talked with Ashley, Debra's daughter, on the phone. She said Kenny is out of surgery and should be able to come home tomorrow. Poor Ashley is 17 today and has had a horrible birthday. She has been taking care of her mom...who, by the way, won't stay in bed and do as she is told...and starting tomorrow she will have to take care of Kenny also. Plus the poor thing also has EDS and she is having some problems also. She doesn't have her drivers license yet and is in college. I feel so bad for all of them. Just thought I would update y'all. Patty, if you don't mind me asking what reconstructive surgery did Debra have? I am sending a card tomorrow and would like to know as I've had breast reconstruction after mastectomy. Many thanks. Please give her and Hubby my best wishes when you talk again. |
Debra has EDS (ehlers danlos sysdrome) and because of the lack of cologen her internal organs have all fallen down and kind of ripped apart. The dr. said it looked like a jigsaw when he "opened" her up. He repaired all he could at this time but she will have to have more as soon as this heals. |
Poor Debra and Ashley:( I can\'t imagine what Debra\'s gone thru and Ashley has to face it, too. Lots of prayer going up from Georgia............... |
This is so sad and sometimes it doesn\'t just rain but pours. Who cares what the house looks like, that you can get to later just take care of yourself and Kenny I hope you feel better real soon. Sure must be a helpless feeling. Your daughter will be a big help I\'m sure. Patty58, thanks for keeping us posted. |
They\'re in my thoughts and prayers.....it seeems when it rains it pours and I hope they both are going to be ok |
Prayers being sent across the pond for Debra and her family ... |
Ooopsy, sorry, double posted by mistake ... but still sending good thoughts ... |
