I am so glad it isn't worse than it was. I always worry with my dtr and texting while driving, Talking isn''t a lot better but at least you don't have to look down all the time. |
I'm so glad to hear that your sister is going to be all right. It sounds like she's got a rough recovery in front of her, but man, she's going to be all right. Thanks for updating! |
(Sigh of relief...BIG sigh of relief!) I'm so glad she's OK. Thanks for the update! |
So glad to hear that she is going to be OK. Sounds like she is pretty banged up though. Thanks for updating us....we have all been concerned for you and your family. |
I am glad to hear that she will recover. What a bad scare you all had!! |
Oh, I was so worried. I kept looking for an update and when I didn't see one, I would say a quick prayer for y'all. I'm glad her injuries aren't life-threatening even though she may take awhile to heal. |
i am sorry i missed this thread. I am so glad that it wasn't as serious as you had first thought. I will pray that your sister heals quickly. Hopfully this will be a wake up call for herself and any others that text or anything else while trying to drive. |
Thankfully, as you said, none is life-threateneing. It will be a long painful road to recovery and a very hard lesson learned. They say hindesight is 50/50....I'm sure we all wish we could go back and change something we did that only lasted a few mintues, but caused changes we'll never forget. I pray your sister has a full revovery with no complications. When I had to stay in the laying position for such a long time, my cousin brought me crossword, word search, and So Du Ko books. I loved the number So Du Ko game....maybe your sister will too:) . I'd also get her some books that she'd love to read. |
My sister loves Soduko too, and word search puzzles. When she "sobers up" we will make sure she has lots to keep her busy. I called to check on her a few minutes ago and my dad said he isn't sure what kind of pain medicine they are giving her, but he is convinced it is the secret to world peace. He said she is being very agreeable and the smile hasn't left her face yet! He said he was absolutely convinced that they were working and she was feeling no pain. :p |
I'm glad she's ok and she's going to recover. I hate text messaging, I don't still get what's the big deal with that! and now I can see they can cause damages too!!! I mean, if people have accidents because they are talking on the phone, I can't imagine what could happen if everybody would start texting. Well, I'll pray for your sister so she can recover fast!!! |
I am so glad that your sister will be ok. My daughter is always texting while she is driving. I keep yelling at her about it but I will show this to her. At 33, it probably won't make much difference though...but maybe it will. From my own experience, those little hand held games like solitare, yahtze, battleship are good for staying in bed too. Patty |
Yeah Patty, those are good too. My hubby surprised me with a hand held Soduko game! I thought it was soooo sweet and thoughtful. The screen and numbers are very are on my eyes being digital. Susanah, maybe your sister would like that if she is used to the hand held games. It has thousands of options:) . I just know from experience that once she comes off of her happy juice she will need things to keep her occupied. |
LOL "happy juice" that's exactly what it is! On Dr. Phil RIGHT NOW, driving while text messaging! I am taping the show so I can show it to my sister! |
Praise the Lord. He is AWESOME! I am so glad to hear that your sister's injuries aren't life threatening. Perhaps while she is recovering she will do some serious thinking about her driving habits and be a safer driver in the future. Please give her a hug from Chattiesmom and crew. |
Thanks for the update. Thank God it wasn't life threatening. I'm sure she has learned a big lesson and everyone else on here that may text while driving. |
