Hi Winston and Kathy - thanks for the nice comment about Izzy - I have a small Canon Elf but it's the normal point and shoot and don't get those nice action shots that Paula (Diggy's mom) and Mike (Jack and Eddie) get so hopefully I'll learn how to use this thing. I should get end of this week and take pictures for the calendar and start posting. |

4 Attachment(s) I got a Canon xti for Christmas but I am still learning how to use it, I usually use the automatic setting because I haven't taken time to sit down and read the manual yet. But I love it. I love taking flower pictures. Here are a few that I have taken. |

Wow- those flowers pics are beautiful - it almost feels like you can actually "touch" them. I got a lot of extras for the price with this camera (the extra lens, case, tripod, etc.). Our Sunday paper had this camera on sale too for about $499 or so but it was just the camera only - nothing extra. Can't wait to get it and start to play with it. :D |

If anyone knows how to use bit torrent, there's a training video you can download http://btjunkie.org/torrent/Canon-EO...17128f5aca20d2 Very informative. |

I know this thread is a little old, but was wondering how everyone likes their Rebel after the "newness" has worn off? I am thinking about getting the Rebel XTi. Thanks in advance! |

I started with a Canon Rebel XT but have since turned to Nikon D80 (I have two of them and love them). Not really for any reason that would change your opinion in buying one but I do portraits and needed something with a few more options. |
I still love mine after over a year |
I still love my Rebel but me a bad girl..lol...I'm still on auto mode..hehehe...I venture to the sports mode and change my lenses so that's good. My husband still laughs at me for not "spreading my wings" on learning more with this camera. I definitely will open that book soon. It takes great pictures that's for sure..I don't think you will go wrong if you get this camera. ;) |
Thanks for the updates Izzy Princess, Sunnie, and yellowmellie. My husband is going to borrow the Rebel XTi from a friend next week to try out... and my Bday is in 2 weeks, so I hope I like it!! I really want to upgrade my pictures from average to exceptional... I take so many pictures of the kids, family, dogs, etc... that I want something better than what I have to capture our memories with! Thanks again! |
