as of yesterday, I am officially the parent of a TEENAGER! :eek:

They grow up so fast. It seems like just yesterday I was nursing her teeny tiny little self, planting "zerberts" on her little belly, and burying my face in her little neck so i could inhale that sweet baby smell. *sigh*

oh good luck to you!!! :) :) Im sure shes still your sweet baby! she just wouldnt let you do a zerbert anymore! LOL

LOL I have a whole list I'm not allowed to do anymore. Zerberts are right at the top....along with acting like I might actually KNOW her in public. :rolleyes:

Congratulations!! I have been the mother of a teenager for 1 year and have another one becoming a teen September 28! ( in 2 more years I will have all four of my boy's as teen!) They can get moody at times even for being boy's! For the most part they are still enjoyable and I still get hugs and kisses from them so I can't complain too much. Time does seem to fly when you have kids! Remember when you were younger and 1 week seemed more like 1 month for you? I miss those days!!

aWww good luck! We do grow fast! Time flies by so enjoy every moment of it before she goes to college :)

Awww....Kids grow up sooo fast!! My nephew who I used to rock to sleep and cuddle all the time will be a teenager next year!! I can't even believe it...Good luck with your teen :)

I currently have a 21 and 16 year old and two foster daughters 30 and 32...
just dont forget, we were there once too... have fun with them! I have a VERY open relationship with my girls and never fear that they are hiding things from me....
it is SO MUCH FUN! LOL.. I am going "tailgating" with the kids tonite at the high school... haha

Congratulations! Teens aren't terrible! At least mine wasn't.

I wish she had just become a teenager - instead I just sent her off for her 1st year of college - she's just turned 18 two months ago! If I could move the clock back 5 years I would do it in a heartbeat!

Keep a positive mind. Read some good books on mothering teen girls - if you want some titles - pm me. Pray, pray, pray that you can maintain good communication & a great relationship while you PARENT her!

Make sure you make special time just for the 2 of you to share laughs & do girl things that show you appreciate her maturity!

I too miss those baby days - it all goes way to fast. I've decided the worst part of parenting is that there are too few years they actually live under your roof!

Yes they sure do grow quick, MY oldest was just married last sat and my youngest gratuates next yr,,,I only have the 2, but im also a grandma now, and that is so wonderful, congrats and best of luck to you;)

They do grow up fast mine will be 23 & 22 at the end of the year...I have always had a open relationship with my two and it really helps....:) Hang in there it gets alittle rough at times, but just love them....:D

She is a pretty good kid. I don't think *crossing fingers here* she'll be too bad. We have a pretty good relationship. I've always been open and honest with my kidlets (always in an age appropriate manner) and them with me.

I asked her how it felt to be a teenager now and she said she wasn't sure yet. I asked her how it felt to know she was making her mom feel older than dirt and she replied, "Oh that part feels great!" :rolleyes:

enjoy every moment you have with your teen ... these years go by so fast!

You can now have a rational conversation with your "little ones" (and they will always be your "little ones")

And keep in mind, they are the ones who will pick your nursing home later on in life .....:wink:
