Cell Phone Do Not Call List A REMINDER....10 days from today, all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222 It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked . You cannot call from a different phone number. HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS. It takes about 20 seconds |
Where did you hear this from? I remember hearing something like this awhile ago. I have both my house phone (even though we recently cancelled that) and my cell phone on the national do not call list, I did it through the website though. I'm just wondering if this number is a scam because I heard of this a long time ago, but never heard of calling, just doing it online. |
I'm curious to know as well. |
Nope, it's for real. You can also do it thru the website - www.donotcall.gov |
I just did mine! Thanks!!!! :) |
I went to that website and saw this.... http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2007/02/dnccellphones.shtm Haven't read it all the way through yet but it looks like maybe it's not necessary. |
I looked it up on snopes, the e-mail is false. Telemarketers will not be allowed to call your cell phone. http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/cell411.asp |
I got in an email and I've heard about it so I passed it on. Next time I'll have to look on snopes first. |
hey maybe the info was false but you did help by letting us know by bringing up the whole topic and theres even a website you can register at! thanks lol |
Thanks I just did mine. Now I have to have my Husband do his |

this is a fake email that has been going around for two or three years. You can check it out on snopes.com. This is the reason I never even open those forwarded emails. They irritate me to death almost and are always about something that has gone round and round and round for several years. |
