I HAAAAAAAAAAATE how so many people in the media are saying "He deserves a second chance, and to be brought back into a society that will help him recover" He didn't just make a mistake. He doesn't feel bad for what he did, he feels bad for what's happening to his life. He's a grown man who should know right from wrong. He didn't accidentally kill a dog and then feel horrible about it. He purposely tortured and murdered MANY dogs. A life is a life, and I don't see how he can go to jail for 5 years, and come out into society and be free.

He's just sorry he got caught - plain and simple - he deserves the maximum sentence and his career taken away - no second chances....and finding "God" - geez - don't they all just find "God" when things like this happen? I hope that he NEVER gets to play football again.

its just like paris hilton. she goes to jail and oh my suddenly she finds the lord.
anytime someone gets in trouble they are too embarassed to be known as christians before but let them get in trouble and suddenly the found the lord but get out of trouble and go back to doing what they got in trouble for.
it irks me.
