What in the world does "keke" mean? OK, this may sound dumb, but I see kekeke in posts all the time, and I have no idea what it means  :scratchhe :idontknow I thought I knew most of the internet initials, but this one has me stumped! :p |
It is like saying "hahaha" but more like a silent one...like you are giggling with your hand over your mouth. There is an emoticon for it...I just gotta find it. |
I think it might be a saying.. like "coco" |
okay make the sound kee kee in a giggly voice ...there ya have it!! I wondered the same thing at first...... I think my all time "goofy" moment was the word teapot. I pm'ed V, and asked what is a Teapot??? Is this another breed of yorkie like the Parti and Beiwer?? A golden, chocolate, and teapot?? :p :p We all have to learn the puter lingo somehow!! |
Thank you for asking, now I know what it is!!!!!!!!! :D |
It makes me think of the sheriff's laugh from Dukes of Hazzard. "This is Rocooooe P Coletran. I love it I love it kekeke" :p |
I didn't know what it meant either! Thanks for asking :) |
I saw that too and finally got enough courage to PM and ask her what it meant. It's just her way of laughing... |

I know what (and who) you mean-I actually thought it meant "OK." I had no idea either, and it really stumped me because it seemed to show up on half her posts. The other half said 'kootie' and at first I was like, "Who has kooties?":p A first time for 'hearing' either of those...at least she has a claim to being unique. Now, I'm going to sit back and see if she will show up here and take credit for confusing us all!:D |

Here you go everyone: Kekeke is a Korean term to indicate a cackling type of laughter. It is a recent term that appears to have spread because of its use in text-based chat. In the Korean written language, people express a laughter sound with repetitions of the character "ㅋ", similar to the "k" sound in English. The phrase is a phrase similar to the English and French "hahaha", Spanish "jajaja", Chinese "hehehe", or Japanese "fufufu"/"huhuhu". |
Hahaha, I remember another thread from a while ago when she had to explain herself. I'm sure she'll be happy to do it again... |

I've always wondered that myself. For her, that's like us posting haha, I guess. Maybe she's Korean and that's why she writes it like that? But, thanks for asking, now it makes sense, and doesn't just seem like two letters blobbed together in every post. :) |
I wondered for awhile too - there is one person I noticed who uses it alot and I kept thinking her name was "Keke" bc it would often say keke at the end of her posts! LOL. (or, keke!) |
