Whew! At least you are getting it installed :) |
I'm not help :) but glad to know there are other mac users here ;) i love my mac. never had trouble installing something before, but then again, never tried a pen drive. honestly dont even know what it is LOL |
I'm not any help at all either - when I install something on my Mac, it just installs automatically, I don't have to do anything and it usually takes less than a minute, or only a few seconds. I've always used a mac (since 1988), but never tried to install from a pen drive. Good luck! |
I'm Mac and PC proficient....but never used a pen drive with it. Wish I could help! |
Did you get it installed? |
You'll need the original CD to install Word. When your cousin installed it onto your dad's computer, the installer puts all of the parts of the the program in all the different places on the hard drive where it's needed (i.e. the system folder, libraries, extension folder, etc.). The only way that you'd be able to install from the pen drive is by copying the original installation CD to the pen drive itself. I'm not even sure if the MicroSoft software will let you do that. They build all kinds of copy-proofing into their stuff to prevent that sort of thing.:( |
yes it got done!!! my cousin is a computer whiz... so we sure didn't need the original cd :P |
Thats good. I hate when something goes wrong with the computer. My world seems over.lol |
