I am about to ATTEMPT to make a dress for maggie LOL so...cross your fingers and if you have ANY advice, please feel free to post it here ;)

I tried that pattern then I kinda revised it.. on the same site you will see a vest pattern.. well I used that with some alterations and then added the bottom part to it to make it a dress.. Hope that helps..

I am not on my normal computer that has most my pics on.. but here is one I threw together for our 4 week old puppy doing what I said.

LOL...Yeah, thats what I thought.. thats why I HAD to come up with something else when I first started.. Have fun.. Make sure you take a pic of your finished product with her modeling it. :p

ok, here is what I have so far. it's not completed and it isn't too good :) the material bunched a lot..so i have to figure out how to avoid that. i am going to make a few more tomorrow and see if i can't get better. then I will add a skirt LOL

Maybe your tension isn't set right. Also, did you clip around the curves?

I've seen that pattern. Yours looks good so far.

One thing, if you make it again. Print out a new pattern and draw a little extra on it to elongate the straps a little, as it really needs to have room for at least 2" of velcro, and the way the pattern is has room for only about 1".

thanks for all the advice guys!!!

no, i didn't clip around the curves. I forgot and by the time I actually pulled the thing through one of the openings, i refused to go back and re-do it...seeing as how this is just me playing around. didn't really see a need to right then ;)

yeah, i jipped myself on the straps. I will be sure and cut some extra. I think the pattern was a little "conservative" LOL

I printed that pattern out when I first started making dog clothes and it was very conservative. I don't think it is true to size at all.
