No, I haven't tried that. |
I can't believe how sweet you all are! I never expected so many people to offer suggestions/help. I thought maybe I would get ONE response!!! Just when I thought 98.9% of people stunk..... Last night after talking with my brother about having to replace the hard drive and how much it would cost, I ended up in tears. I know, I'm a baby. You know how you have a zillion things balancing and one more thing is thrown in there and you collapse???? Yep, that's me now. I am trying to keep things in perspective... a computer shouldn't be so important but it's like my link to civilization. I know, I know, so many other bad things could happen. I AM thankful for all the good things in my life.... I'm just not very good at handling the bad. So.... thank you all so VERY much. I appreciate all of you!:) |
Hey Teri, glad to see you're finding your feet again.:) Yep, perspective can get hazy looking sometimes. All will be well. This too shall pass and then you'll look back and think, "Wow, I got through that too and look what I gained in the process." And you're right, there are alot of good people on YT that are happy to help others. :D Hope you can get your PC working pretty soon.:) |
If you want to see what image processing programs are on the computer you are using, right click on your picture, then scroll to "open with" and it will have a list of programs that can open the picture. You should at the very least have Microsoft Photo Editor (it comes with windows) You can resize with that |
I'm so sorry your computer got sick. There's a way to open the disc drawer with a straightened out paper clip. There's a little hole on the front of the drawer - stick the end of the clip in gently and it may pop open. I'm sorry, I forgot exactly which one of you I called a geek, but I'm such a geek and a nerd - It's my dirty little secret! I love your list. I think we can all make one, but when it's time for a pity party, start with the meds! JMO |

Yeah, I need those meds, but what can ya do? I have to wait till payday.:) OK, well, I could sell my H. Bidding could start at like, $25.00. LOL LOL |
I just realized I never told all you that helped me what the problem was. It turned out to be the motherboard. So, my brother and nephew had one they could put it and it's working great! I didn't have to lose any info or anything.   :) |
I use irfanview to resize - its a free download. your computer problem might just be the fan motor died. Its a pretty inexpensive fix if thats the problem. I have a "computer geek" friend who fixed mine, but I'm sure geeksquad would do it too. good luck! |
We are sending you a hug! Hope your day goes better!:ghug: :rose40: :rose40: :rose40: :yelrotflm |
I thought I posted this a while ago but don't know where it went.. The problem was a while ago but I forgot to tell those who were helping me what the problem ended up being. It was a bad motherboard. My brother and his son were able to put one in that they had at their house so it didn't cost me a cent and I didn't lose anything off my hard drive.  I was SO relieved. :D |
