Oh my gosh I hope someone is with her. She should not be alone at this time.

I don't think we should worry ourselves with her not eating. I know I wouldn't be able to for a few days.
My concern is to be all alone during and after his death. I hope peanut found someone to go to her house.
I do think that is a good idea though about having food sent to her house though.Most food places won't except a cc over the phone though.

I know when my Mom passed away people sent over a large Deli tray. I know a lot of Deli's do this for these type of occassions and they had a person deliver it. Maybe if someone in the area knows of a deli we could contact. I cannot imagine being alone all day at a time like this. Hopefully Hospice would not give her meds to help her sleep and then leave her.

Peanut you might need to get ahold of the two that were going to V's house. TXshopper just tried to call and got voice mail she is either resting or not home. I would hate to see them go out without her there.

V may not be able to eat right now. I couldn't when my husband died.

Please keep us updated as things develop. I can't stand the thought of her being without her children right now:(

I just talked with Villette and she asked me to let you know that she just isn't able to post right now as she is having trouble talking without crying. A neighbor had stopped by, but she is still alone.

She did promise that she will force herself to eat something and get some rest. I told her that hundreds of people from this forum and others are thinking of her, sending her prayers and just generally caring about her. She wanted me to thank you all and when she is able she'll be posting (probably not for several days).

BTW, her phone isn't working correctly - so that might be what the message was.

She didn't mention when her sons were coming and I completely forgot to ask about funeral arrangements.

I feel so bad. I wish i could be there, it would be great if we could all be there with her. I know i wouldnt want to be alone at a time like that but you never know, everyone's different. Does she have friends close by? I really hope so:( :(

I just hung up from speaking with Villette. There have been no funeral arrangements made yet.

I tried to convince her to eat something, anything and then just go to bed.

She was waiting to hear back from her Mom and then hopefully she's going to turn off her phone and get some much needed rest.

I just wish there was something more I could have done for her.

That's a good idea, but when you dont want to eat even the most appetizing food doesnt look so good. When im depressed i just lose my appetite completely but its worth a try to send food. I would def. like to send flowers and something nice for her.

I have been trying to get ahold of her to see if someone is there, if anyone gets her please post and let us know, I know her mom was suppose to go, but not sure when, and a friend not from yt was going over, hopefully someone is with her...If I find out more I will let you guys know...

Kim, I just spoke to Vee and she does sound better. She also said a friend is there with her now.

Sorry, just saw this thread and saw that I was mentioned. I live in Brenham - probably about an hour and a half away from her - so I'm not really within "dropping in distance". I know there are other people closer to her actually IN Houston because I met quite a few at the latest meet-up. I hope someone has seen this by now and are able to visit. You have to keep in mind too that she may not really be "up to" visitors right now. Hopefully some family can be there soon too.
