LOL I will try to move close enough for the furbutts to play, but far away from your drunk neighbors! ;) |
Haha, yeah, I forgot about them. AND your daughter can play with my sister. How many kids do you have? |
We have 3. Two girls and a boy. Lauren will be 13 in a week! Michel is 10 1/2, and then Olivia is 4 going on 21. |
Haha, its just my sister and I. Kyleigh who is 4, you know how they are. She started BIG girl school where she goes Monday-Friday!!! BIg change. |
wow I would be a little afaid but it is kinda neat too. Our house was built in 1908 almost 100 years ago. No Ghosts that I know of here but the house I grew up in. My Grandpap used to come visit after he passed over. I hope they go away or you learn to get along somehow.Try praying :) |

Sending prayers your way, because no way would I want to be in your position. Do these wierd things happen to others in your house? |
I live in an old house too and they do have alot of creaks and groans |
wow these things have always fasciniated me but I dont think I want to live with them.... but how cool... d |
Yes, other people have reported feeling the "heaviness". I don't know about people who lived here before us. They have also witnessed the lights, the television, the lamps, the putting things down only to find them someplace else - but all of those things have other explanations that "could" be the cause. The only things I really can not come up with any sort of alternative explanation for are the last time the cabinets were opened, my shoes moving, and the atmosphere. |
Thats soo wierd. |
The only thing that is a constant is the heavy feeling. If it wasn't for that I'd be fine with everything. It just gets draining after a while. The lights do the flickering thing pretty often, but that could be faulty wiring, or something. I see the shadows pretty often too, but that can also be explained away by any number of things. The relocation of items can be explained by just being plain old forgetful. The stuff I don't have an explanation for doesn't happen often at all. We've been here 10 months and the cabinets have only been opened 4 times. The shoes have moved once. The television and lamp coming on only a handful times. So, it really isn't as bad or weird as it sounds. It's that damn heavy, thick, cluttery feeling in the air that is driving me crazy. |
I'd probably think I'm crazy and check myself into the loony bin:p I read that you blessed the home.. did you do it yourself or have a priest come in? I know that priests have "special" prayers to bless the home,, you, the person (ghost) in your home, and to send them away... Plus, if you get a priest who has been in your town a long time, maybe they can tell you who the homeowners were... jmo |
I'd LOVE to have a priest come in, the problem is I won't find one in this town. lol I live in a tiny little hole in the wall, don't blink or you'll miss it town in Georgia. Nothing but good ole Southern Babtists around here who would probably claim *I* was possessed and the town would get together to "get the devil out of me". (I am not kidding, they REALLY would. I also mean absolutely no disrespect at all to any members who may be Southern Babtist. I'm not speaking about ALL Southern Babtists, I am only speaking what I have seen and heard in this particular town) I was raised Catholic. So having a priest come wouldn't hurt my feelings one little bit. |
Oh, and yes, I blessed it myself. I poured salt around the outside of the house, and I sprinkled holy water in ever corner of every room and asked God to bless it. |

Yeah, from what I've heard having the devil removed from you isn't a fun thing. The joys of living in the rural south. |

Thats sucks but atleast you're not feeling scared. However i do know how you feel. You see things happening around you but not to you. I have seen unexplained weird things too that i try to find an explanation for just because but really is just too weird. Like one day me and my bf were eating at this Mexican Restaurant. We were talking, sitting across from each other when all of a sudden this little cup that held chilly just moved quickly across the table by itself. Me and my bf just looked at eachother like "did you just see that or am i crazy?" lol I checked the table, was not wet, there was no slant at all, the table was completely straight. Then last week while me and my family stayed in a resort in Dominican Republic our room TV kept going on and off by itself! Several times me or my brother would turn it on and it would turn back off. When we would turn it off sometimes it would turn back on, as if the ghost or whatever it was was watching and saying "heyyy i was watching that". However i wasnt scared, i just figured it was a kid ghost or something. We would also leave the room to go to the beach, etc and we would turn the tv off but when we would go back in the room it would be on again and on a completely different chanel as it was before we turned it off. It would be on a kid's chanel or an old movie chanel....weird. Anyway as long as you don't feel scared that is good, but i hope you get to move soon. I wouldnt wanna live there lol |
The television in my bedroom does that. When I turn it off, it comes right back on. Sometimes when I turn it on, it flips right back off. Sometimes if I change the chanel it will change right back to where it was. I thought there was just something wrong with the remote. lol |
I think I could handle any of that except for the cabinet thing. That would just creep me out! I just keep thinking of that scene in poltergeist with the dining room chairs. I'm not sure what you mean by shadows moving but have you heard of shadow people? Its strange that you describe a heaviness in the air because that is exactly what others have said when they live in a house that has ummm "activity" in it. I wouldn't be worried as long as you're not afraid. If it was something bad, I think that you would be able to feel it. |
How long have you lived there? |
Shadow people I had to look it up...check this out.http://www.shadowpeople.org/ Quote:

Does any of your children say or heard anything? Have you taken any pictures of inside your home that has anything weird in it. Like Orbs or smoke or stuff? When something like that happens have a camera ready and take a picture. or just go around and take pictures and then download them to your computer and look at them. I lived in a house in Tennesse that had some of the same things that happened to you. It was really starting to get to me. Then I didn't have any children but I did have dogs. They slept at the end of my bed and would wake my husband an I up and be just barking like crazy and staring at the corner of the room. The cabinet doors would all be open in the morning when I got up. The footsteps going up the stairs, things being taken llike my hair brush or necklace or earrings etc. I accuse my neice taking them and trying to scare me. She finally admitted one time that she heard a womans voice singing. We did research and found out a Woman and baby died in the house when it caught fire in 1920. The husband rebuild it an remarried not soon after that. The story goes that he didn't stay long in the house because his wife that died and the baby would do things to his new wife an wouldn't let them sleep etc. Found out the husband caught the house on fire. He was arrested an his new wife left an moved out of state. well anyway.. I know what your going thru. Sounds like you have a little prankster in your home that is just playing pranks. lol. Who knows.. it could be. I thought I was going bonkers also. I lost my husband about two years of living in the house and I was only 30. He died from cancer. I ended up moving out soon after that an moving back to Illinois. |
My 4 yr old talks to her imaginary friend ALL the time. If she gets in trouble and we send her to her room, you can hear her in there saying, "and then they just sent me to my room and I didn't want to come in here right now. I can't play with my toys right now...." It's like she's having a conversation with someone and if we ask who she is talking to she'll tell us she is talking to her friend because we won't let her out of her room to talk to anyone else. The two older kids have only seen the stuff AFTER I discovered it. Like with the kitchen cabinets, etc. drawlins, the cabinet thing isn't really that bad. It's only happened 4 times. But I am telling you right now, I EVER walk in that kitchen and those chairs are stacked on that table, I am OUT OF HERE. Someone on here better make some room for a scared sh*tless woman and her little dog. :p girdygirl, we've lived here almost 11 months. Shadow, I looked at that site. This one sentence creeped me out. "Often they are seen as dark silhouettes of human-shape, generally male, that prefer to watch someone unseen and flee the moment they are noticed." That just made every hair on my neck and arms stand straight up. I shouldn't have looked it up right now. I'm going to be home alone most of the day. |
sounds like you need to move ... or does this follow you wherever you go???? very weird .... Quote:

No, this is the only place where I've noticed it to this degree. There have been other places I've felt this heavy feeling, but never to this degree. Or maybe I DID feel it to this degree, I just wasnt't here long enough for it to affect me this way. It isn't so much that its bad, its just that it's draining and I'm just tired of it. I'd like to be able to RELAX, and I don't feel I can do that here. Its hard to explain other than to say that it feels not just heavy, but kind of "cluttery" too. I lived in a house in Gardner, Maine and there I saw orbs sometimes. One night in particular I saw an orb that about the size of my hand that was such a bright white that it had an almost bluish tinge to it. I've always seen orbs. I always thought they were just tricks of light. (except for the one in Maine) They've never ever bothered or scared me. I guess because I've seen them my whole life. Let me explain the televisions, the one in the living room (on the opposite end of the house from my bedroom) is the one I get up in the mornings to find on sometimes. The television in my bedroom is the one that come back on when I turn it off, etc. I REALLY think there is just something wrong with the remote to the one in my bedroom. |

LOL I wouldn't do that to you. I don't think I have any sort of "power" or "gift" or anything like that. I think I'm a little hypersensitive probably, but that's about it. I'll admit though, I've always wished I was telekinetic. I read something about that a while back and think it would be neat. |
