UNBELIEVABLE! I could have died the day I was being released from the nursing home! Thank you for all that have supported and prayed for me!!! As some of you know, I spent 13 days in a nursing home for physical therapy after 3 days (second surgery on my knee) in the hospital. I was due to have my sister pick me up at 10:00 am. At 6:00 am, I had my second double-over painful attack and they suggested I go to the hospital. So I left the nursing home by ambulance. I HAD PANCREATITIS!!!!!!! Normal levels are 100 and below.....mine were WELL OVER 4,000!!!! They said it was life-threatening and I was allowed to eat or drink anything for 3 days. I was on Morphine and it atleast took away all of my pain. I was in for 5 days. I am now home for the first time since August 1st (it is now August 22nd). I had another surgical procedure on the 4th day. I have to go back in 4 weeks to have my gull bladder removed. ....and guess what???????? My Mother-in-law, who has been wonderful enough to take care of my 4 Yorkies the entire time, was there to whitness Tiah having 4 puppies on August 19th!!!!!! 4 little boys and 1 girl!!!!!! I never would have guessed when I bred her 2 months ago that I wouldn't be there for her. I am so excited and thankful that they are all healthy as is their awesome Mamma. |
I'm glad you're feeling well enough to be home and CONGRATS on the pups! :D |

Julz, you really have had way too much all at once. Now that you are feeling abit better don't overdo, puppies can be alot of work but maybe you can get some help when they come home . MIL sounds great. |
I've been wondering what happen to you. Wow, so glad it was caught in time. Maybe if you had gone home it would have been a different story. You certainly have an angel by your side!! I will be praying for you again that the next surgery goes quickly and without complications. Congratulations on your new "grand-kids"!! :D That little girl is going to end up quite the tom-boy!! :D |

Glad to here that your home and doing better! You hear so much about how terrible some nursing homes are to their patients and how they treat them, and now to hear that some are even neglecting life threatening illnesses:eek:  WOW! But I'm glad your doing better and everything was caught before anything too serious happened. |
OMG you have been through way too much these past few months. I'm glad that you are on the mend now:love: Congrats on the puppies, it's wonderful that she did so well! Yay:D |
Thank you everyone! It's rough. Yesterday was my first day without the machine that continuously bends my knee (I use it about 20 hours a day!). Each day will get better though. I can't wait to get my hands on my new babies. My MIL is actually taking them to the vet today for me for the tails and dew claws. Isn't that just....I can't even find a wonderful enough word for it. I am ever so thankful to my in-laws, my Mom, my sister, and my hubby for all of their help. I am also very thankful for all of the support and prayers from my YT family. Right now, my heart is just going out to Villette full force. Please pray for her:cry8: |

Actually she did get a free breeding ($500 value) from Cowboy and now has fallen in love with my tiny little dark dark boy. They both want to buy him and he is only 3 days old. The first time I saw the picture of the litter I said "That little dark one right there is going to be oustanding!" Of course they are all dark, but he has no white and hardly any markings at all. Cowboy's dad is REALLY dark and I thought he was gorgeous!! I'll be getting them back this weekend and will post pictures!:D PS, I never added to the end of my story that we were almost in a car crash 1/4 mile from the hospital on my way home. A woman with a car full of kids was coming straight toward my door before we both severely swerved. To tell the truth, I had to laugh as soon as I was done being mad. |
I just want to say we had the right-of-way and the woman was flying out of a parking lot:cool: |
Omg! im glad to hear that you are ok! Pancreatitis is very serious! i had acute pancreatitis a few years ago, so i know exactly what you are going through with that! i was doubled over in pain and had to be transported to cardinal glennons childrens hospital by ambulance too! it was soo scary but im great now! you would never even know i had it! well i hope things work out for you! congrats on the new babies!:aimeeyork |
It's good to see you back and home finally. That doesn't say a lot about nursing home food, does it? I hope you'll do ok at home. I know that's where you want to be. Keep up the struggle! |
