In memory of Mom and Dad 4 Attachment(s) My sister, Judy, and I bought a memorial bench that sits at the cemetery directly across the road from Mom's and Dad's graves. This would have been ready by Memorial Day if the cement guys had gotten their part done, but they dragged their butts and just got it in a few weeks ago. Once that was done, the bench was put in. We also bought an Amur Maple tree and had planted directly behind the bench. We plan to do a little garden around the cement area, but since it got put in so late, we'll wait till next spring to do that. We are so happy we did this and it's in an area just across the road from the graves. We wanted it right by the graves, but there was just no room. We have had no rain here since June, and the whole cemetery is brown and dried, except for Mom's and Dad's grave which I water each day. I take the puppies for walks there each evening and noticed there are two other green graves, so I'm not the only one watering. Here are pictures: 1. This is before the bench was put in...you can see the tree after it was just planted and the little chapel on the opposite corner of this block. The flags on the ground are where the cement was to go. 2. Here's Maddie, Libby and Scarlett...the first day the bench was put in. They had a clamp on one side of the bench which they removed the next day. 3. Closer up look at the wording. 4. Maddie and Libby. You can see the red on the tree in this picture. |
2 Attachment(s) The first picture, I was sitting on the bench. Just across the road you can see a patch of green grass. That is Mom's and Dad's grave. If you look closely, you can see Maddie in my car. The last two are a couple of funny ones of the puppies...it was a hot and windy day and you can see it in the pictures. Hmmm...can't get one of them to load, so there's only one. Isn't that bench beautiful? I miss them so much! |
We Love You Connie And Send You A Hug Dear Connie, Oh.that is so very beautiful, wish we could give you a great big hug right now, please know we are both praying that God will help your pain to lessen in time. How beautiful you are keeping their graves, the tree is going to be so nice when it is full grown. Connie I am posting a couple of poems I have written this year, I pray they will be comforting to you. I have posted them in YT but you may not have read them. Please know what a dear friend you are to the both of us, we feel so blessed to be yours. "Time" Time is not just a minute or another day, It's a life time of memories stashed away. So many of those memories that we hold dear, Far too many shed many a tear. Our faith and belief will see us through, God walks with us daily with me and you. The path we choose is ours for the taking, The joys he gave us was his in the making. Hold on to the treasured gifts that he so willingly gave, Assuring us of eternity and wanting us all to be saved. One day together in heaven we'll be, The promise of life forever for you an me. Hold onto the memories forever to cherish, Those we hold dear never really did perish. Time goes on beyond with abundant treasure, Forever with each other, what blissful pleasure. Time waits for no one, it goes by so fast, What we encounter in loving one another is what will last. Take hold and feel the warmth of the sun and wind blowing, Together what waits beyond for us is knowing. Life's treasures are beyond what life holds in store, Heaven has to offer ever so much more. Our precious ones God has in his care, Giving back to him was so hard to bare. Hold on to this time if God wants it to be so, Time doesn't stand still and he wants you to know. Time isn't just to be here for another minute or a day, It's a lifetime in Eternity forever with him to stay. Thank you Lord for allowing this to be, For each of us, you, you and me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Bends In Lifes Road" The unknowing is what one dreads each day, As we travel lifes long road of what comes our way. Not knowing what lies around the roads bend, God speaks to us letting us know, our souls he does so tend. Knowing whatever we must go through, life’s trials to endure, God will guide us through each one, we can be sure . Travel this life and always look ahead, He is here for each of us, to wipe each tear that we shed. There is a bright light that shines in our future, Gods plan in life is eternity forever, there we will forever nurture. After we come around each bend in the road, climbing the hill is easier to dread, Let’s live each day, let God hold our hand, seek his will and push on ahead. Our Love and Hugs to you Connie, From the both of us, Patti and Jack |

Connie what a wonderful thing to do in memory of your wonderful Mom and Dad, they must be smiling in heaven. Part of our cemetary here in Stow is set aside for people who have lost children and a group of us gave to have a bench with their names on it and there is a little garden. Mom and Dads are special people and I had just super wonderful ones like I know you had too. We are the lucky ones. Bless You. |

1 Attachment(s) Connie that is beautiful. What a wonderful testament to your beloved parents. I know you and Judy will spend a lot of time there. We just got the marker put on my Mom's grave as that is all they would allow us to have, It just doesn't seem enough. |
Connie, that bench is a beautiful tribute to your loving parents. :) I wish they would let me do that at the cematery where my mom and dad are. But there, we are only allowed a flat stone, something like the picture Patti had posted. I'm sure you and your furbabies will get lots of use sitting on that very nice bench. Love the pictures, thanks so much for sharing that with us. |
