we have one at work but I cannot remember it all. i think its : 1 gallon rubbing alcohol 1 cup baking soda. wash and rinse with this mixture |
oh and one teaspoon of dish soap (liquid) |
Just found this online.. same thing I use for cat pee on carpet..go figure It's worth a shot and I have all the items..brb I'll let ya know.. PHHHEEWWW! Home remedy for removing skunk odor from a dog: 1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide 1/3 cup baking soda 1 Tablespoon liquid dish soap Mix ingredients together. The mixture will fizz and may explode if kept in a closed container, so use it up each time you mix it and don't try to save the rest. Use a sponge to apply the solution to your dog, kneading it into his coat; avoid the eyes, nose, and mouth as you sponge the face gently. Rinse thoroughly with lots of water. To be effective, this treatment must be applied within four hours after exposure to the skunk spray. |
I got this from an EMT class I went to. This might be the same thing that you posted, but here it is. ;) In a large bowl mix the following ingredients: 1 quart of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide 1 teaspoon of liquid hand soap (dish detergent) 1/4 cup of baking soda While the concoction is still bubbling, thoroughly wash your pup, avoiding the eyes. Rinse well. You may also want to clean your pup outside if possible. We all know that as soon as Yorkies are wet, all they want to do is rub themselves everywhere! We need to get the stinky off first. Also, don't let the concoction sit too long, as it looses its efficacy. And don't try to store it, or the container will burst. |
Well I mixed it and wiped it on with a wash rag..now his head is all soapy.. tried to keep it out of his eye..but he got sprayed in his right eye.. we'll see if it helps, of course my house reeks so I can't tell. |

This recipe is the best! I do find you have to do it at least 3 times. Apply, rinse, reapply.....also here's the real secret....use Massengil vinegar and water douche. No lie...it works great as a final rinse and it's safe around her face. |
I don't know of any other then tomato juice. Hoping the other remedies work. |
here's something easy...massengil disposable douche! Thank God I have never had a dog sprayed but, I here this works. good luck with peppy le pew! |
Well I still smell it, not like last night.. but it's still there..BUT I just noticed my concoction I mixed up.. (in above post) TOOK THE COLOR out of his coat..he is a gray color now it's a yellowish/orange like when we were young and you put lemon juice in your hair  Oh well what can ya do..the other neighborhood cats are probably saying.. You stink and whad'ya do to your hair? |
