Hurricane Dean Anybody else on the Gulf of Mexico thinking about evacuating? My adults doggies would be OK, but I have the 2-week old pups. |
Gosh! I'm from the UK so i cannot imagine what this must be like...I really hope you are not affected...STAY SAFE!...you and your babies! x |
Can you take them all with? Good luck |
Well, if it is headed my way I am definitely not staying here! I will take the furbabies with me like I did the last time. Only this time we have more than twice as many:eek: ! Luckily they are small. Hope it turns drastically away from us, though. |
I think we'll be ok - I can't evacuate so I know I'm stuck - being on the coast would be different but I think Houston is far enough from the real danger (keeping fingers crossed) |
if it comes towards us im definately evacuating we never stay for them! Me and gracie would be in the car and heading for safety! |
No evacuation plans here yet. No telling where, when or if Dean will come ashore. |
Still to early to tell where Dean may end up. Boss at work said it's projected path would make it his Port O'Conner which is about 45 minutes away. Depending on the category whether or not we'll evacuate. If it's a 1, I'll stay. 2 or more, my arse is outta here! |
Its passing under Puerto Rico right now. My neighbor said because of the humidity here, Hurricanes usually bypass PR because the humidity pushed them away or something. Its just a bit windy here now and Saturday is supposed to be really rainy.. |
No plans yet. Waiting to see where it's going. |
My family is in Houston, and they are getting prepared for the Hurricane just in case it hit nears Houston. They live in Katy which is far west Houston, so they should be okay. My mom said if it is a Cat 4 or 5 with a direct hit on Galvaston, then they are going to evac to my house in Fort Worth. But they are not worried. It still to early to tell where the hurricane is going to go. |
Well, it's been upgrated to a category 3 already. What on earth is going to happen when it makes it's way into the warm Gulf waters???:( |
No plans yet. We went out for sandbags because of Erin. I live in The Rio Grande Valley. |
my son just left this morning for the islands on a cruise. my nerves are a wreck |
We evacuated two years ago, when Rita was blowing in. It took us 13 hours to go 200 miles (into LA). That was with 1 grown daughter, 2 granddaughters, my hubby, his parents (F-N-L with active cancer), and 7 doggies, in 3 vehicles. We have 23 people at my sisters. Then, the storm turned and came to where we were there. We've decided to stay home this time and it looks like we'll have the full house this time. At least my company is evacuating our offshore workers! |
