more work than its worth?
 

so i work at petsmart as a dog trainer.... ive been doing it for 3 years now and have been at my "own" store for about a year and a half. weve been trying to get another trainer in our store for what seems like forever.... but no ones willing to stick around. we started off with someone helping me out one day a week. i left for a few days on vacation with my mom.. and when i went back... she had quit. so a few months later (last summer) we hired someone new she was there for about 3 week and then i went on vacation.. while i was gone... she quit. so i stuck it out on my own for about 6 months and then we decided to hire another trainer... after he finished his acredidation program he started and i had to go to arizona for some family stuff (this was last month) guess what happened when i got back? he quit! so now we hjave another girl... she started last week... and this week... i have to go back to arizona.... so lets just pray i dont come back to another quiter.

i just needed to vent.... this wouldnt be such a big deal except that everytime someone quits I have to take on double the work to make up for the classes they left off, unhappy customers, and end up work 6-7 day weeks. ugh. this girl seems like shes into it.... but than again... so did the rest.


maybe itll be a change and ILL be the one that quits when i get back....that would throw people off..... :questione

I hope that Petsmart is treating you right!! Thank goodness that someone who really cares (you!) is at that store to help teach those pups!! For every disgruntled customer, I'm sure there are many that appreciate you!! I'm a manager, and it's people with a work ethic and loyalty like yours that are precious. What goes around comes around, and there are big rewards awaiting you.

That has to be frustrating and it must take a little bit of the "carefree" part of any vacation out of the equation! Hope this new person sticks around. I'm sure you'd enjoy having a co-trainer that you can depend on! Good luck!

Have they told you why they quitted? Maybe they get overwhelmed, and you could schedule a lighter schedule when your gone.
