Yes everything will be fine :p Breathe and remember to have fun! The day always go so quickly. |
I'm sure she will have a beautiful wedding!!! I love weddings, but I remember how stressful planning mine was. Thank God for my mother! LOL I would get so nervous that I would get huge blisters in my mouth, I did that from May till we got married in August. I can't wait to see pictures!!! :) |
I remember my daughter's wedding, I was so stressed I couldn't wait until it was over BUT the day of the wedding it all went off beautifully and I even had a great time. Make lots of lists and enlist the help of family that final day to check on things since you can't be everywhere and should be with your guests. It will be wonderful and if there are a few mishaps those are the things that you will look back and laugh at in a year or so. |
Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride!! It will all go smoothly. |
I just got married in November and I am the oldest and the only girl in my family. So I can sympathize with you and your daughter. Everything will be great and you will be so surprized that everything you are SO worried about right now will work out great or won't matter in the excitement of the day!! Congrats to your daughter and her soon-to-be hubby!! P.S-just remember to put your game face on and be there for your daughter, thats most important. Hope this helps.;) |
How exciting for you!! I know you must be a nervous wreck, but everything will be beautiful :) I'll give a quick funny story to make you laugh. I'm the baby in my family so my mom was very emotional and so was I about my upcoming wedding. Anyway, when my mom and I went wedding dress shopping, my mom was helping me into a dress, and I elbowed her right in the head whenever I lifted my arms when we were trying to adjust it!! I have these bony arms, and oh my gosh, she almost passed out, my poor mom!! My mom was so emotional the day of the wedding. She was so incredibly happy for us, but sad that I wouldn't be at home anymore. She cried on and off through the wedding and even the reception! She NEVER cries, but she looked so beautiful. And you will be beautiful too!! Mom's are one and only :) |
When I got married I thought my mom was going to be a basketcase all day - she's pretty high-strung - BUT she enlisted the help of all their really good friends so that everyone had a little minor job and she and my dad didn't have to worry about so much during the reception. Keep in mind, ours was rather large (we fed 800 people!) so there was a LOT to do. Those friends did such a great job that my parents had a wonderful time talking to everyone and dancing. Those same friends enlisted my parents' help later for their kids' weddings and everyone benefited! I think that's the key..... enlist lots of help! Good luck! |
Thanks all for making me feel better, and for the nice chuckle yorkieluv:p its just comming so fast i cant even sleep anymore, tommarow we are going to finish up the last of our shopping list, her bachlortte party is next sat, and i just found out the girls are getting a stripper:eek:  I dont drink, how will i survive this one:rolleyes: |

Mom you're not losing your daughter your gaining your first son. My daughter became so much closer after she got married. It's a whole new relationship between her, and I, and I love it. |
The crazy thing about weddings is that all those little things that you stress about usually are the things that people don't even notice! So if some things don't go EXACTLY according to plan, people won't notice it anyhow. They don't know how everything is planned, so relax a little and ENJOY it....you want to be able to remember all the special moments and be able to relive them later instead of it all being a blur! And amazingly, as complicated as it seems especially at the last few days, it will all work out just perfectly. Have a wonderful wedding! |
everything will go fine, let the caterer handle it all, that is his job, you should just enjoy it and think about happy your daughter will be ... good luck! |
To give you a smile I used to rehearse weddings at our church and they would all be so nervous the night before and the day of so relaxed. I will never forget one couple who came up to me right before they were ready to leave the rehearsal and asked if I would talk with the grooms father since he is known to be late for everything and if I could point out there was another wedding after there's it might make an impression. He was the sweetest man and he said "Of course" and he added not to worry. The day of almost everyone is there and the groom came in and said as I was driving in I saw dad in the barber chair and they all laughed.....all the stress they had for such a long time ended in laughter. He was only about fifteen minutes late and they had a beautiful wedding. |
