Haha yeah, even Brody is against it! Lauren actually said last night (on the aftershow) that the ring is actually just an amythest (not diamond), which is her birth stone, and she got one of those rings for her 10th birthday haha it was really catty but I still like Lauren! She said she hasn't even seen it yet in person, so I'm pretty sure Lauren and Heidi won't be making up by the end of the season. I think Spencer is just doing all this because he wants to "own" Heidi. She will do anything he asks and everything is always his way, and when she gets upset (his painting on the walls) he just LAUGHS! Because he KNOWS she'll go along with what he says or does no matter what!
I couldn't imagine my boyfriend asking me to move in, and me having to make him promise first that there will be no more fooling around, no more PLAYMATES! and that he'd be serious. She should have left him LONG ago!

Thats what I was thinking! He doesn't even go to a ring store, just a random boutique, and wants to look at the "higher-end" rings. It pissed me off when he took like less than 5 minutes to pick out the ring...but I think that might just be a guy thing. Attention to detail isn't really their strong suit...

I thought it was funny too that there didn't seem to be much thought to the ring. He was like "let's do this" lol.

Did anyone else think it was kind of weird the way that the proposal scene happened? Heidi didn't really seem excited at all. She was totally calm and emotionless until she started to cry at the end.

But then I was thinking that it just wasn't much of a surprise, because she already knew he was going to propose.

I read in a magazine that the ring cost $2,800. Wow...for all the money they seem to have, he couldn't spend more? Also, what was up w/ getting it in a suvenior shop? I started laughing when he told the clerk he was proposing w/ it...she was probably thinking "poor girl"

She should. The other funny thing, she doesn't have that many friends. He asked her what she was doing and that was when she was making inventations to her housewarming party, he named all his friends, and she named about 5 maybe??!!!! Shes lost her friends.

Haha, I thought it would have cost more than that. But someone said that it wasn't even a diamond.... lol. Does he even work? I see they have a nice apartment and he has a nice car, but I NEVER see him go to work, or even talk about it.

Yeah, it didn't seem real. He didn't even get on one knee!!!! That sand must have hurt that JERK too much..hehe.

I didn't see a box...when he bought it, when he gave it to her, I don't think suvenior shops have boxes for jewelry...maybe little baggies though? But the questions is what was SHE thinking!!! I'm not materialistic, but like I said, if my bf drove a nice car, nice apartment, had money to go out every night, and bought me THAT as an engagement ring...I would say no.

I'm bored out of my mind so I googled Spencer's bio to find out who he is/what he does, lol. Figured I'd share with the other YT Hills fans, hehe.

Turns out, his dad is a famous LA dentist. He was on the Princes of Malibu (Brody Jenners failed reality tv series) and is a friend of the family. The family that includes Jenner's olympic gold medalist father, and his step father who is none other than David Foster (who is producing Heidi's new album).

Brody and Spencer apparently also are vp's of a company that make silver jewelery apparently :)

Gotta love google!

seriously. kind of off topic, i've talked with my bf of 2 years about marriage (we've had 2 conversations--1 with him being completely into his ps3) and he said he didn't want to get married until after med school; he just applied. i told him that's another 6-7 years and he just nodded. so then i told him that my engagement ring better be freaking spectacular if i have to wait that long. :D
