I'm in a nursing home! I am probably the happiest person to be here! My insurance company finally accepted it for physical therapy rehab. I had an epidural on Wednesday so they could force my knee to bend (had reconstructive surgery July 9th). The epidural got crimped in my back and they had to pull it out 2 days ahead of schedule...TALK ABOUT PAIN!! To make a long painful story short....I am here now and can get the extensive therapy I need. I thank God because my options were so few which would result in minimal results. I'm 41 and am the youngest one here. Everyone is sooooooo nice!!!!! I have lots of freedom and space and can even keep up with Yorkie Talk!!!! |
Well Hi there Granny! lol..just kidding. People probably don't know it but alot of Nursing Homes have great rehab facilities. Keep up the good work and you'll be using that knee before you know it. |
First of all, I am sorry you had problems int he first place. However, I am very thankful for you that you are finally in a facility where you can get the medical attention and physical therapy that you need. AND how wonderful it is that you will have greater access to your YT family. sending hugs :ghug: and prayers :hands: that you will get better speedy quick. |
I've been wondering how you were doing. I'm glad you are getting the help you need to finally get back on your feet. Can your dogs come and visit?:animal36 |
What fabulous news for you. I am sure everyone is thrilled that you are there and can bring some of the outside world into them. I bet they would love to see some of the beautiful pictures from YT. Good Luck on your therapy as I know it will be a lot of hardwork but hopefully soon you will be well on your way to a full recovery. |
Best wishes for your therapy and I hope someone can bring your babies up to visit while you are there. I bet the other patients would love to see them too! |
That's good news. When my DAd was in the nursing home after breaking his hip 2 years ago there were several young (40's)girls in there that befriended my Dad and were so sweet to him. They still call and check on him once and awhile. |
Glad to hear you're doing well. Wishing you a speedy recovery. |
Watch out for those frisky old guys - go easy on them Julz -:D :D they must be LOVING you there - Get well soon girl - sounds like an adventure as well as being good for you |
I'm so sorry your having these problems at such a young age. Hope you get more to eat than a oatmeal and pudding. :D |

This thread brought a smile to face! The way you worded the first two sentences was priceless! "I'm in a nursing home! I am probably the happiest person to be here!" It just sounded so comical to me! On another note...I am so glad you are getting the therapy you need to get back on your feet! I will be thinking of you and praying for you! |
