what should I send? I'm in a flyball group and one of our member has been send to Iraq. My flyball group is going to send him a package to make him feel a little bit closer to home. We are going to buy stuff individually and send it together. My question is what to send him? His wife provided an address but she never said what he would like or needed in Iraq. So what do you guys think? What should I send him? |
Baby wipes, Visine....here is an excellent link with lots of information on the subject...I live 10 miles from Ft. Bragg so it's a common thing around here...I'm sure he will appreciate it! http://www.operationmilitarypride.org/packages.html |

We are in the process of sending things to my son in Iraq. Something that we found out is that if you use the flat rate boxes to mail your goodies, the cost will be less. You can send up to 70# for $7.70. Do not send aerosal products. Keep a complete list of what you're putting in the box because you'll have to fill out a customs form listing the contents. One of the first things my son asked for was athlete's foot powder. Nasal spray is a good item to send too. Lisa |
4 of my friends just got back from Iraq and when I would send them care packages I would try to send things that they wouldn't usually get like maybe burn them a CD with alot of their favorie songs, certain foods that they really like but don't get alot of, tons of pictues(we would take a camera out with us on the weekends and take pictues of everything then put them in a book and describe what we were doing). Be creative with it he will really enjoy getting something a little different. |
Forgot to mention I have a list of things that can can and can't be sent. I can e-mail it you if you would like it. I have tons of info on care packages since I work at the Chamber of Commerce and I was the one in charge of getting and packing items to send to our local troops. |
