Just wanted to clarify so no one thinks we bring him out in when the sun is strong. We take him out around 6 pm. The sun is on the other side of my pine trees at that time. He takes a bottle at 5 and that takes a good 45 minutes to feed him. That is why I bought him a special hat for his head so if there is sun breaking through the trees we will put it on him and his little body is covered with a very lite blankey. Believe me we do not want him back in the hospital we came to far for that.

Oh I hope my post didnt make you think That I was saying you had him out in the hot sun, Im sure if you did he would be looking like a little tomato by now.lol.... What I was trying to say Is Id be scared to have him out sun, pool just out period........... Im sure you and his Mommy are doing a fine job.

No your post didn't bother me. I just don't want people to think we have him out in the hot sun. I try to keep him cool and so does mom. She was upset the other day because hubby wouldn't let her turn the ac on in their house and it was 95 degrees. So she came to my house because Mikey wouldn't eat because over heated. But after we cooled him down here in the house and took him out to the pool and dipped his feet she was able to feed him almost 4 ounces. We keep a very close eye on that sweet little miracle very close eyes.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful baby! He is precious! ;)

It is so nice to see him actually enjoying himself. As for seeing the mark on his head -- a friend of mine had two of her four kids born with a condition that makes the skull harden rapidly. The literally cut the skull wide open to fix it.

Her daughter looked like she had some kind of headband on afterwards but as soon as her hair grew in, you couldn't tell. I think lil Mikey's shunt will disappear in the same way.

Continuing to prayer that all keeps going well for your little man.

What a miracle! Mikey has been a gift to all of us. Our prayers were answered and this tiny boy has touched so many lives.

He's so beautiful.

I'm so filled with joy right now.

Thank you everyone. He is our little miracle. Becca called today and was so excited. She wanted to let me know that when she picks Mikey's binky up he looks at it smiles and coos. I was so happy for her, but when she called she was crying and it scared the day lites out of me. So far everything is going great. He is gaining weight. He is up to 9 and a half pounds and eating every 4 hours now.
I will keep everyone updated on how things are going with him. And I will keep giving him Yorkie talk kisses.

Val, why was she crying? Were they tears of happiness or just from pure exhaustion and it is starting to get to her. I hope everything is ok. Sounds like he is eating good and loves his binky already. Thanks for the update.

I'm so glad that baby mikey is doing well and he looks great what a sweet little baby makes me want to pinch his little cheeks! sending :hug: and :kiss2wm: to baby mikey!
