To all Yorkie Talkers out there: Please take a few minutes to sign this petition.. Dog fighting is NOT the poor animals fault- these dogs are being absolutely tortured and eventually put down(if they aren't killed first in the fighting). We need to make a very strong stand against this and the more of us that unite together- the more our voices might be heard!!! Thank you to each and every one that will sign this!! in case people don't know - he's being indicted on Charges for disgusting and cruel Pitt Bull Fights

Federal prosecutors filed a document earlier this month that detailed a dog fighting operation known as ?Bad Newz Kennels? run out of NFL Player Michael Vick's property

The outfit conducted dog fights from 2002 to 2007 with people from several other states and sometimes killed the losing dogs by electrocution, shooting, strangulation or drowning, according to the document, which did not name any of the suspected participants.

At the start, authorities seized 66 dogs, including 55 pit bulls, and equipment commonly used in dogfighting. About half the dogs were tethered to car axles with heavy chains that allowed the dogs to get close to each other, but not to have contac, an arrangement typical for fighting dogs, according to the search warrant affidavit.

The indictment said dogfights were held at the Virginia property and dog owners brought animals from six states, including New York and Texas.

In a search warrant executed July 6, the government said the fights usually occurred late at night or in the early morning and would last several hours.

Before fights, participating dogs of the same sex would be weighed and bathed, according to the filings. Opposing dogs would be washed to remove any poison or narcotic placed on the dog's coat that could affect the other dog's performance.

Sometimes, dogs weren't fed to "make it more hungry for the other dog," it said

innocent until proven guilty please. Give the man his chance in court before you judge him. He continually says he had no part and that relatives were the ones who commited the acts. Its not right at what happend and its not right to go against him until he has his fair trial

i agree he should be given a chance to give his side of the story...although how this can go on at a home you own and you not know is beyond me ..but he is suffering in his pocket because Nike is pulling all Vick endorsed items off the shelf and I am sure he will lose a lot of his other endorsements and not get any new ones for a long time

I have already signed every petition there is and will sign as many as I come across. These people need to go down. such psychopathic behavior :mad: celebrties think they are above the law. oh I say yea for sure give him a trial and then let feed him and his cousins to the pitbulls.:mad: :mad:

Dog fighting is horrible and so sad! If he is guilty i lost all respect for him

I've signed everything I've seen about this & thanks so much for posting it. I hope all the people who are even thinking about getting into dog fighting will see the trouble it brought on Michael Vick and realize how cruel and vicious it is...the media attention is really good to help crack down on these sick people who force dogs to fight

Every aspect of this case is just so sad and disturbing. With each passing day it seems that more and moe upsetting information comes to light. I couldn't help but add two of my favorite photos to this thread...my (yorkie-loving) husband sacking Michael Vick during a playoff game.

I signed it and sent it to my friends! This has got to stop! I will sign as many as I have to to get it to stop....

This is just to heart wrenching to watch...I just couldn't.....it's just a d*mn shame that these kind of things have been going on for decades and no officials would stiffen the penalties...the only reason it's getting this kind of attention is because it involves a celebrity....

I guess that's the silver lining in this whole ugly, disgusting activity, if it wasn't for that it would have maybe made the local news and would have disappeared....now there's a chance some laws will be changed....

I hope he gets the max. sentence and I hope there's more arrests made down the road because this ring is a whole lot bigger than one individual...
