Texturing Walls Does anyone know how to use mud (I think that's what they call it) to make designs on walls? I like the look, but have no clue how to do it. |
This might help you: http://www.ehow.com/how_2058571_text...ywall-mud.html I like the look too...I didnt' read this article, but lots of people here have had it done and when we were having the interior of our house painted, we considered it. I do know that you can color the mud if you want, but you need to do it before it's applied to the wall. Good luck, it looks like quite a project! |
I did my daughters bathroom and it was easy. Just get joint compound (it comes in buckets, premixed. About 5 gallons for a small room should do it, with some left over. Just smear it on the wall with a putty knife, and keep going over it, digging the knife in slightly, on an angle, and experiement. If you don't like how it's looking, you can scrape it off and start again;) Let it dry a day or so, then paint:D |
