Housework
 
Does anyone deplore housework as much as I do. I clean one room, and my two teenagers & hubby are behind me making a mess. I wash the floor they spill on it and leave it there. I dust, they lay down their cups and plates. I wash clothes they pile them on the couch. I hang up their clothes they drop them on their closet floors. I'm so sick of it, I don't feel like ever cleaning again. Anyone have an idea how to get my mojo back. Oh! I have sat down with them to talk about it, but it doesn't help at all. Sorry I just had to vent.

My saving grace has been www.flylady.net

I hate to think what my house would (and did for a while) look like if I hadn't discovered flylady!

You can try what my mother always threatened: If it isn't where it goes, throw it in the yard.

If it's something they like and they have to retrieve it from the yard, it may only take twice. (They may think you're kidding the first time.):)

I hate housework with a passion. It is only my hubby and I along with the furkids these days so nothing gets really dirty and the hubby is a major neat freak - but I still hate every single minute of it!!!!

Hey the FlyLady.Net looks pretty interesting. I'm going to read it through and see if I can get my act back together. Do you think it will tell me how to sweep my family out the door.:lol tears

I hate housework, but I am a clean freak. I wish I wasn't such a clean freak sometimes.

It's just hubby, me and Jake now so the house doesn't get dirty or messy because my hubby is good to pick up after himself. But, I'm still always cleaning.:rolleyes:

One thing he does that drives me nuts though. Almost every time I wash the kitchen floor, he will come in from outside. Most times I wait until he's not home, but then he will show up because he decided to take off work early or something. It makes me crazy!!!

It's a joke around here that if he ever comes up missing, I'll just mop the kitchen floor!

LOL!!!....I like your mom's style...I could just see her yard the first week, it would look like she was having a garage sale....

I hate it so much!!! I gave up trying to get my 21 year old to pick up after herself. It never got done and I couldn't stand the mess so I do it.

I have the perfect solution.....Hire a CLEANING LADY !!!!! Let DH and kids know that until they help out with keeping the house clean and picking up after themselves they need to pay for it :eek: :eek: :eek: May or maynot work but worth a try :p

I have been flying with flylady for about 2 weeks now and I feel like I am finally heading in the right direction.

Every thing you pick up of hers, cram it in a big box and put it in the garage or basement whichever is farthest away...maybe she'll get tired of rooting around for it...;)

My rule is "if it's on the floor and I have to pick it up it goes in the trash no matter what it is."

I gave my husband a choice... I go out to work and get a housekeeper or I stay home and take care of the housework.. I now have a housekeeper that comes in on Fridays so when I get home from work my house is clean for the weekend... Its great !!!
