pain in the behind or flattered??? Did you ever have one of those people who just HAVE to have what you have or do what your doing??....They say imitation is a compliment, I find it aggravating.... If their wearing it, it takes everything in my being to not rip it off them...if the have what I have, I want to smash theirs.... I want to yell, "GET YOUR OWN, D**N IT!!"....for some reason if it's a stranger that has the same thing it doesn't bother me but when it's some one close to me it's now a problem....They made my stuff feel less special when they have it or do it, now they ruined it for me.....Ya know what I mean???.... |
LOL does someone need a little valuim ??? :D :D :D Some people are like that - there's always going to be people who want to one up someone - I've seen it even here - |
my theory: be flattered. if it continues to happen consistently, ask them if they'd like to go shopping with you. then, let them spend all their money and buy nothing!! |
I feel better now....:D ...I've had people buy the same clothes, the same curtains, even order or eat their food the same way I do...so annoying..... My son has experienced this also & he wasn't flattered either.... . |
To a certain extent I won't mind but there are some people that take it to a whole other level with their nonsense. My sister and I like a lot of the same regular hangout stuff. But what we do when we go shopping is if we both want something unless it's a plain t-shirt we just do alternate colors. I have a neighbor that does that. I get a new lump of crap she wants to go but the same exact one and say how she paid more...got to love people or beat them to death. |

My Brother in law and Sister in law are like that and they are also our neighbors. We got a nice gazebo that we wanted then they went out and got one. But they are really lazy and they didnt bolt it down and the wind bent it in half Ha! Then at christmas time we always really decorate our yard and her daughter wanted their yard decorated so she went out and got more stuff. Well I just happen to go out after she put hers up and get a few new things and she told my Husband " dont worry I am not buying anymore stuff for the yard so that way Lisa wont spend anymore money. I was so mad. I didnt even like her yard and didnt buy anything that she had out there.Anyway she is the family bitch so everybody just puts up with her |
My older sister is like that. If i get a new car she gets one, if i get a puppy she gets one, my husband got a new guitar and she gets one. When I got pregnant with my dtr 22 years ago, her husabnd and her decided not to have kids and he was going to have a vasectomy. 2 months later she is pregnant!! I am talking with in a week she has what I have. I just take it as a compliment. we don't have the same taste in clothes though. |
Villette - valium you're to funny. I'd take her shopping to, buy nothing and see how she does on her own. If she asks where you get your things tell them your Grandma, Aunt Minnie or whoever sent it from Alaska, and theres none around here. LOL |
I feel for ya. My sister is the SAME way! It gets really annoying, especially since she is 12 years older than I am. I love her, but GEEZ! I get so annoyed. |
My MIL is like that, not just with me EVERYONE!!!!! We got a new car, they want a new car, I get a haircut, she gets one, I have a baby she WISHES she could, I started taking online classes, she wants to (and in the same field) the list goes on and on. LOL I'm just thankful they never have any money. |

Yeah...sometimes I have to be careful not to tell some people what I would like to have, or what my dreams are.....they end up getting them befor me! If some one admires something I have and thinks I have good taste.....I consider it a huge compliment if they get the same thing. |
