Ive done a few too!! Ok... 1. dyed my hair JET black! I have a LOT of LONG curly thick hair... one bottle did NOT cover my hair... had to go back to the store for a 2nd bottle. Get it home, finish my hair, wash it out and realized I had brown streaks still in my hair where the JET BLACK did not take in some areas. It looked like I missed HUGE patches with the color! 2. Someone gave me a bottle of Infusium 23 Conditioner.... told me it was GREAT stuff. So I washed and conditioned with it. Well it matted my hair soooooo badly I had to get it all cut off, so my dad (being a guy) took me to Super cuts (some generic chain hair salon) and they thinned my hair out with serated scissors. (don't forget my hair is LONG AND EXTREMELY THICK & CURLY) I looked like a poodle ... all frizzy and I had NO hair left, they thinned it out sooo much you could see my skull pratically. So I think I was like 13 at the time and VERY self conscience as any teenage girl. My mom had to take me to a salon and pay top dollar for them to even begin to fix it a little bit! 3. One time my dad bought me Aqua Net for my super high bangs... and needless to say I had an allergic reaction to it... by the middle of the school day I had a HUGE rash on my forehead with little tiny white bumps in beat beat red raw skin!!! I had to go to a dermatologist for that one! :D ;) |

Oh, you poor thing...and 13 is such a difficult age. Bet you wanted to stay home from school until your hair grew back and your skin improved. |
Oh yeah. I've had tomato red hair, and green hair, and rashes on my face. Listen to this. When I was young I always wanted freckles, so my mother God rest her soul, says squeeze fresh lemon on your face and lay in the sun. Well I did, and all I got was itchy blotchy skin. |
All the pics of me that age have been destroyed! HAHA |

I used to brown eyeliner to create a "mole" above my lip - just like Cindy Crawford's. :p I've put scotch tape between and at the corner of my eyes to prevent them from drooping. I ONCE tried one of those Epilady things (remember those?) Notice once is in all caps LOL |
hair I don't think any of us should go near a bottle of dye again without professional help!! LOL |

I used wax strips on my eyebrows and upper lip. I'm 100% italian so I would have the 'bert brow' and more hair on my face than any woman would like. Anyway, I used wax strips for years, successfully. Well, about 7 years ago, I had started using creams from the dermatologist since I started breaking out, and they made my skin extremely sensitive. When I tried to use the wax strips after that, they not only removed my hair, but they removed the skin as well    I looked hideous!!! It took almost a week for my skin to look normal again. Ever since then, tweezers are my friend |
I have been through so much with my hair, just 3 weeks ago my mom came by and told me she wanted to dye my hair before I went to FL and of course I said why not well we got done and it was yellow!!! just like a lemon I was crying and so upset I called the beauty shop where I should have went to begin with and 95.00 dollars later we got it fixed but its still not perfect! |

at age 13 i had Sally Jesse glasses. "that's no big deal!" you say? wrong! my mom did not allow me to buy contacts until i was 14. i hate looking at the pictures now. i have also found out i'm becoming more and more allergic to things like herbal essence products and lots of perfumes. so during the summer i look like i was attacked on my chest and hands by really mean mosquitoes. |
I gave myself a home perm when I had overprocessed hair. Well it melted and I have to cut it all off to about 2 inches. I looked like Rod Stewart and I'm no where near the type of person that goes punk. YOu should have seen the look on one of my sons face. He was in such shock he couldn't say a word. When I went out, I felt like all eyes were staring at me and I was miserable. |
