Me too! :D Although I do feel sorry for the "other" girl - boy, she did NOT look happy AT-ALL :eek: (understandably so) :rolleyes:

Nooo. I don't think she should have won. Wasn't she the one who was crying about not wanting to be there?

But let's be honest.. she'll probably never have her own show. :p I know that sounds harsh but it seems like none of the winners of these type of shows ever do anything!

Does the other man that won the first one do anything besides occasionally being on that show?

Ahh yes...she was, you are indeed right! I personally just think it all just "got to her" and that she missed her family/kids....BUT - you are right. Going into this contest she should have known that it was going to be tough, and that she would have to be away from her family - AND she should have known that accepting constructive criticism was all part of it. Unltimately, I think she really DID want it - I guess for a while there she just thought that she maybe couldn't handle it?? :confused:

I myself am just glad she won because I think she was the most professional - now whether or not she actually ends up with her own T.V. show is a whole other story...lol.

I loved the guy who was so random and who would spin around and stuff! :D I think it would've been funny for him to win just cause he was such a mess. :D

LOL are you talking about the guy who said that the plum tomatoes were from "plummy" (or someone else?) I loved him!! I thought he was so funny... I really would have gotten a big kick out of seeing him on t.v., LOL he was a riot, and seemed so nice too :)

I'm glad she won and I'll watch her show. I'm not saying she's the best cook I've ever seen, but given some of those choices... I think she should have won.

She wanted to go home because she missed her kid. It sounds like her husband was left in charge of the house and kid and I'm sure he worked too and that could not have been easy on them. I'm sure you enter that contest never dreaming they will pick you, and then if they do - well how could you pass that up?

He was cute and funny - I agree. Dan and Steve (the first season winners) had some of that silliness with ALL of the professionalism and they got like 10 episodes that aired at 7:30AM on Sunday morning. I don't think FN wanted a repeat of that. For whatever reason, they pushed that (great!) show aside and gave stupid Guy Fieri TWO shows. Because he is soooo "off the hook" :rolleyes:

My favorite was Paul:D , but he had already gotten the boot! Out of the two ladies, my pick was definitely Amy:thumbup: --I just could not connect with Rory:thumbdown !

Yes, I'm happy. I would watch her show. I think Rory's food was good but I hated her personality, and I think people agree with that. There is something about her, I don't know what, that people don't like. Did you see her reaction??? she was crying all over! I felt a little sorry for her...

I had to tape the show last night and watch it tonight. Was anyone else annoyed by the commercial breaks? I was able to fast forward through them. For the most part it was 5 minutes of show followed by 5 minutes of commercials the entire hour! I was able to see the entire show in about 30 minutes. At any rate, I'm glad Amy won. I think she is more down to earth, more comfortable to watch. Rory just seems a bit phony to me.

Jag also lied when he said he graduated from culinary school. He admitted later that he never finished the school.

He was in the marines, but he said that he was deployed to Afghanistan which wasn't true. Also he said that he had graduated from culinary school - another lie. He was given the opportunity to come clean about everything while doing a press interview, and he didn't.

The judges ended up calling him in to confront him about it and he admitted, on t.v., that he lied about everything. So he withdrew himself for the competition and that's when they brought Amy (the winner) back.
