Rollerskating is NOT as easy as it used to be!!!! 3 Attachment(s) My friend Tracy had her son's 10th birthday at the roller rink last night so a few of us from work went. WOW! My ankles are killing me today, I feel really old :) It was a blast but I really thought it would be like riding a bike. I was wrong but I didn't fall! YAY! Here are some pics from the party. I remember the cool skates with pink wheels but what are these ugly rentals? And yes, we are wearing light up glasses and glow in the dark necklaces (they were party favors). |
LOL ! I WANT Light up glasses too ! How fun and hey - at least you didn't fall - you could have sore ankles AND a sore tukas if you had.....that looks like such fun. Did you show off your pole dancin moves in the rink ? |
I DO have sore ankles! My whole body is hurting! I did all I could to stay standing but you should have seen those kids dancing, spinning around. I remember a long long time ago when I could limbo on skates. I was lucky to make it through the hokey pokey last night! yea, those glasses ROCKED! We had a great time :) |

LOL, I know what you mean. I was raised in a roller skating rink. That was my parents cheap babysitter in the summers. I used to fly around the rink frontward, backwards, sideways, play the limbo game and all that stuff. I went with my grandson to a birthday party and couldnt hardly even get the skates to roll. I looked like an idiot out there and boy was I sore. It didnt help that I think they had the exact same skates there as when I was a kid. LOL.. I felt sorry for anyone that got in my way. |
Good Gosh, I'm still sore today! If anyone is looking for a great new workout may I suggest Roller Skating :) |
My nephew had a roller skating party one year .... my SIL and I are about the same age and we grew up at the skating rink... backwards skating was my speciality.... Oh lets just say by the time we got those skates on and actually on the floor.... my nephew was so embarassed. It was so HARD!!! We never fell either but LORD, we were so SORE for like 3 days. I couldnt believe how hard it was. |
Well, I was no bargain even when I was a kid...so I could not imagine even trying them on now! :p |

Those where the good old days of being able to fly around the skating rink like greased lightning...... I've had a pair of roller blades in my closet for a few years & have been wanting to use them but I'm so afraid I'm gong to hit a pebble...I'll will send me flying & I'll knock my teeth out... |
