If you were sleeping with your window open, my best guess is a mosquito -- and he brought friends!

I am allergic to them. I have had some swell up like golfballs. Benadryl and an analgesic spray clear it up.

Several years ago, there apparently was one in my car. It was summer, so I'd have sandals on and I'd go to the store or go grab a bite to eat and by the time I came home, I'd have 10-12 bites on my feet. (I think it was living on the driver's side floor.:)) This went on for months even though I cleaned and even put bug spray there!

Do you have any Benedryl in the house? Take that for now, it will help the
itch. Get to the doc's.

Why? S/he will make you feel all better! ;) Seriously, if you don't think they are mosquito bites, and the itching is bothering you that bad, then go get checked out.

Definitely try the Benadryl then and see if that helps. Be careful though. It CAN make you VERY drowsy.

I haven't been near any plants or anything. I am VERY VERY susceptible to mosquito bites. Like even in the dead of winter I'll get mosquito bites. Or when we go camping I'm all bitten and swollen while everyone else is just dandy. I think I will take some benadryl to see if it helps. I'm still worried about my blood circulations though :confused:

Don't worry. If you are not having any other syptoms, you wouldn't be going into anaphylactic shock. If you are susceptible to mosquitos, that's probably what it is especially since you left your window open.

You sound like me. My mom says mosquitoes would fly through a blood bank to get to me.

If it was mosquitoes, they been dinin' on you. And your blood has the stuff they put in it to make it coagulate -- to stop the blood flow once they're done munchin' on us. That's why youre swollen. And it's also probably impeding blood flow.

If the Benadryl doesn't help or the swelling gets worse, you really do need to seek medical attention. Nausea beats dead any day!:D

If one of your furbabies was sick, you would take them to the vet and I'm probably 100% right when I say that they get the sweats and want to puke as soon as you drive up to the vet's office. But you do what's right for them.

So don't mess around. Get your little hinney to the people vet! :D

My poor babies they literally get sick as we get to the vet. My little guy pukes in the car when we get there :( But you're right I do take them. Ok promise, I will take benadryl, wait a few hours then go to the doctor if nothing happens.

They look like hives to me. I have never seen a mosquito bite do that before. My daughter (when she was about 3) broke out with hives so bad that her feet swelled where she couldn't walk. I also would suggest benadryl for the itch. You really should see a doctor. I wouldn't fool around with stuff like that...what if your throat starts to swell...THAT would be a bad thing. Hope you find out what it is and your feeling better soon..

Thanks for the compliment, sweetie, but I'm not a nurse. :p I'm an EMT. :D And this EMT has to get some rest. Yes, I've been up all night. :eek: In the summer my schedule gets flipped around. Up all night, sleep all day. Happens every year. So, you feel better!

I said this wrong. They put anticoagulates into you to increase the blood flow until they're done. My doc told me that it was that -- not the bite itself -- that causes the allergic reaction.

Since it happened to the exposed parts during sleep, I'm wondering if it could be bed bugs - they're rampant right now, apparently. Have you recently stayed at any hotels?

No, no hotel stays. How would someone get bed bugs? I change my sheets once a week. :confused:

There was a whole thing on Dateline about how bed bugs are out of control right now, and impossible to get rid of. They generally spread through people - i.e., you stay at a hotel and bring them home, a visitor brings them to your house etcetera.

Oh gosh, I was thinking bed bugs too. I know you can bring them home from hotels but I don't know how else you get them. I think you're supposed to check for them around the stitching of your mattress. Hope you feel better- it looks miserable.

Okay here is all you never wanted to know about bed bugs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug#...al_infestation. It said they can spread in multi unit complexed like condos. I didn't read very much because I got too itchy.:rolleyes:

I don't think that its mosquito bites.

Its an allergic reaction to something. I'm allergic to mosquitos and it still doesn't look like that when I get bitten. I would see a doctor as soon as possible. You may not be able to see one if you wait too long since this is Friday (Friday the 13th at that:eek: )

Have you eaten anything that you've never had before?
