eCard Virus?! I just received this from a homeschool friend....has anyone checked into this?? Copied from her email..... Quote:

I just deleted an e-card message and it said it was from a "classmate". The email addr looked bogus & it's gone. I check my email through Verizon Yahoo first and if is something I want to keep I let it come into Outlook Express. I had another one that was suspicious and got rid of that also. |
I have recently been receiving lots of emails supposedly from American Greetings or another well known company saying I had an E card from a family member or a class mate. I can tell it is a scam because I have several email addresses and I have been receiving the same messages at several of them. I know many of the legitimate sites well. When in doubt, go directly to the site from your browser (not the email link). You can log in to pick up an e card by entering your email address. If it is a legit, an e-card will be waiting for you to pick up. |
I got this today too from a "classmate". Actually, it went into my spam folder and I just deleted it. I knew if it was someone that I really did know, it would have their name, not "classmate". |
I haven't gotten any, but I figured that you would know who is sending it to you.....CRAZY, what will they come up with next??!!! Geez... Here is another email I got regarding this: (pretty much common sense) Quote:
