oooh :( i am so sorry, lots of prayers coming to Kim and both her Babies and Rosi and Poli sending get well kisses ! |
OH NO!!! Those poor babies (and Kim). They will all be in our thoughts and prayers. Did he get too hot?? I have never read up on strokes in dogs, can someone do some research? What are the vets saying....I am sure they have seen strokes in dogs before......oh my!!! |
Hi V - Sending lots of prayers their way. Yes, the bond is very strong. When Roxy had her LP surgery, she was in the hospital for 3 nights/4 days. My hubby took TJ to work with him, driving around all day. TJ was so sad. He barely ate (practically nothing) - He barely drank. He didn't play. But most importantly he WOULD NOT poop. He went 4 days without pooping. I tried everything to get him to go, but he was in lock down. I called the Vet and he was scheduled for an enima if he didn't go by day 5. Well, the 4th night Roxy came home, when my hubby pulled into the garage and TJ saw Roxy, he almost jumped out of the window to her. We brought them inside and he was kissing and smelling her. After 10 mins of this, TJ ran to his box and pooped! Thank God, b/c I didn't want him to get an enima. We are praying for Peanut and Lexy and Kim. P.S. I know you remember Tahoe, he was about 2 years old when he had a stroke. I am not sure what else was effected other than he was paralyzed. |
Kim -- you and Peanut and Lexie continue to be in my prayers. Sending hugs to all three of you. :ghug: |

OMG - I am so sorry to hear this. Of course we will start praying for Peanut, Lexie and Kim!!! If I'm not mistaken there was a thread not too long about a pup that had a stroke but is doing okay......... |
Awwww, My prayers are going out to her and both her babies. I feel so bad! I just had my cat Simon, who was 16 have 3 strokes :( After the 1st one, he was paralyzed from the waiste down, I carried him everywhere and helped him potty, he started to improve and was able to get around wobbly. Then shortly after he had another one :( This time he didn't improve much, but I took care of him, taking him where he needed to go. The last one, he had in my arms :( This is hard to write. But he left me then :( This is the only experience I've had and this is all too recent. I know dogs are different then cats and Simon was very old and had lived a long life. Do you know what the after effects are from the stroke? I don't know what help I can offer but I wanted to send my prayers and I'm here if she wants to talk. Quote:
