Who else has Harry Potter tickets already?? I have tickets to the 12:01AM show @ the our local IMAX. My cousin and I have always gone opening day, but never at midnight. We even dress up! We are way too old for it, but it's so fun! We'll probably line up at midnight for books too.... Is anyone else crazy like me? :D |
Yup, I am. I wanted to go at midnight but I have to work out of town on Friday and have to get up at 5:30am. I'll see it on the weekend:( . I pre-ordered the book. UPS will have it here bright & early for me. |
I do!!! My sisters and I are going to a 9:30am show. They didn't have anything earlier in our theaters. We don't dress up or anything but there are always so many people who do! I also pre-ordered my book as soon as they announced the date! haha. I can't wait!!!! I've been reading the 5th book again just to get ready for the movie:) |
No tickets for the movie yet, but I have my book pre-ordered and I will be there at 12:00 to get it!! I love love love Harry Potter :D |
No tickets yet but I really want to see potter at Imax too, I cant wait! |
no tickets....I am a cheapskate...I will wait for the DVD release and rent it LOLOL not the same as the movies, but we already went to our movie for the year...and that was Transformers... No joke, we only treat ourselves to a movie out once a year! |
I'm excited but I can't go, I have a 8 month old baby that wouldn't do well in a theater.... we're broke anyways with the whole house buying thing :o/ Hopefully it will be in the kid's $2 theater soon! hehe |
me me me me me |
Well, we have not gotten tickets yet. They will be running it in about 10 Theatres here at the local Rave Theatre. The kid and I plan to go get them when the theatre opens for the 5:00 show and go watch it when hubby gets off work. And YES, I have a preordered book too. |
Have tickets, will travel! And yes, have preordered the book! I can hardly wait!!!!!! My kids at school always think it is so funny, because I know so much about Harry Potter (and the Lord of the Rings). They love to try and stump me with questions, but it is usually me that stumps them! hehe |
Not got tickets yet but am getting them this weekend. I'm TOO excited! As for the book, the last two I have set off at 11.50pm to get the book from the 24hr supermarket near me and arrived there at 12am and asked where it was... they look at me like I'm mad but they shouldn't advertise it in the window for 12.01am if they don't wanna put it out! :p |

I honestly can wait until Saturday morning for the book, especially since I have to work early on Saturdays so I can't stay up all night reading anyway, but someone will probably talk me into standing in line. :) |
I don't have my tickets yet but I am going tomorrow or Thursday. My book has been pre-ordered for the last few months and I can not wait to get it!!! |
Haven't bought tickets yet but I heard there is talk from hubby and our movie buddies (hubby's bro and bro's gf) to go to after I get off work at 8 friday night. They plan to buy the tickets before hand, but I keep telling them they need to get in line like at transformers, but no one will listen to me. |
i guess im the only one who doesnt like harry potter lol im not planning on seeing the movie or reading the book but thats just me ! hope yall enjoy! |
Saw the movie @ 6pm today. Loved it. Glad I didn't go at midnight, would not have been able to sleep...How was the midnight show?? |
The midnight show was good but only because it was IMAX 3D, not because it was at midnight :D It was ALL like high school aged kids - not many dressed up. We just wore our hats. (I bought the official WB hats when CoS came out.) I LOVED the movie, I thought they adapted the book well and the changes made sense. The thestral and fight scene at the end were 3D and the thestrals looked like you could reach out and touch them! We'll go back this weekend and see it again. I took my cousin last night, but my husband wants to see it too so I will go with him. |
WOW! My bf really wants to see it but he said he doesn't want to go the first day cause there will be tons of kids lol and they will prob. laugh, now I'm excited to go too. It just came out today!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! Maybe we'll go tommorrow |

Just doesn't make sense though...they took the longest book, and made it into the shortest movie. I guess I was just let down that they left out what I thought were key parts and downplayed alot of who I thought were key characters. |

I think part of the reason I enjoyed it is that I didn't re-read the book right before. I read it when it came out, then again before Book 6. I remembered enough to giggle when Hermione got out the charmed parchment, but then they didn't show anything about that! I agree that a lot was missing and they changed some things, but I liked what they brought to life. I would have sat through a 4 hour movie, but most people wouldn't. :) |
i saw the movie last night and I wasn't that impressed--it was good and my Mom and boyfriend loved it, but I guess that's my fault for re-reading the book right before seeing it, I just felt like vital information was left out and I don't know it just seemed different than the first four. Cannot wait for Deathly Hallows have pre-ordered my book as well and plan to pick it up bright and early saturday morning and then head to the pool to read it! |
I didn't think it was as good as others. They left a lot of things hanging that needed closure in this movie. Like the Cho issue.... they just kinda dropped it and never followed through. |
