What kind of computer does everyone have? I currently have a Gateway laptop but I am in the market for a new one. I thought I'd turn to my YT friends for recommendations. Does anyone out there have a laptop that they just LOVE? If so, let me know. I hate shopping for a new computer. |
I have a Macbook Pro. I LOVE IT! i've always had pc's. I had a HP desktop and more recently a dell laptop. They don't even compare to the Mac. |
I've been an Apple user most of my life, currently I'm using a MacBook. I'm pretty happy with it. |
after being a PC girl for all of university and highschool... i've made the switch to a Macbook two weeks ago.. i'll be honest the first two days i wanted to send it back.. because it is very different from a PC but you honest to god give it a few days and you will LOVE IT LIKE I DO! i'm so glad i went with an apple and i'll never go back! |
I currently use a dell inspiron 6000 and have had no problems, but now im curious about the macbook ? why is it so different:confused: I love my lap top i know that fro sure, daughters use the desk top in her room and its a hp |
Glad to hear everyone is loving their Mac's....that is what I am leaning toward. But I do dread trying to learn my way around on a Mac. I hear it very frustrating in the beginning but "once you go Mac ...you never go back"!!! |
I have a Dell and hate it - they have horrible customer service and the $400 warranty stinks. There is a class action lawsuit against Dell b/c of their advertising and misleading warranty info. I'm a teacher and the district has mac laptops for each teacher to use (it's our grade book/plans, etc.) - I love it and would recommend buying one! |

Once you figure out the basics of macs you can move around it pretty easily! One the laptops you can press control and then the mouse to have a "right click" option. Also, another plus to apple is that it is pretty difficult to get a virus (it was in the past, I don't know if that's changed recently though). Good luck with your decision! |

they are like c- as in cat O- as in ox M- as in mat lol and so on. it gets really frustrating! |
i didn't have any trouble learning how to use my mac. You can use alot of the same programs like FireFox and microsoft office. In fact i like the Safari internet that comes with the mac better then internet explorer. Also i use the same mouse on my mac that i used on my dell so i do have the right click option. :) the back button on my mouse no longer works tho...can't figure out how to fix that, but i learned to deal with it. |
So... Mac users.... What's your favorite Widget??? Mine is the PandaCam! Then Sudoku! |
I have a Toshiba laptop (low end model, like $500) and it's great for what I need it to do. My son gripes that it doesn't do well for gaming, but it's a plus for me if it keeps him off of MY computer! (Come on, he has his own!) :D |

MAC all the way--------had PCs for 10 + years and have had my Apple for nearly two and oooOOOOooooooo baby----------I would never go back. |
I have a compaq desktop computer. I was looking into laptops for my husband. I'm not keen on Dells. I think they're crap  I was looking at Compaq/HP or Toshiba. Toshiba has some really great stuff out there. |
I have a FLATRON LG screen, tower: eMachines. Good to have a family member working at Future Shop too ;) But it needs some serious repairs, since a certain cousin of mine messed it up by installing Vista!! :thumbdown |
I have a 3 year old iBook - that is still doing GREAT!!! I just got a new desktop Mac - 17 inch screen - it is OUTSTANDING!!!!! I always been a mac user - got a PC a few years back because my hubby needed to learn to use a PC. I just never could get the hang of it and I hated the viruses - Mac's are still pretty much virus free - WHOO HOOO!!! |
Macbook here and love it! Hubby has a 3 year old Dell desktop, but he is seriously considering buying a Mac desktop with the dual thing were you can use microsoft and mac, but that is not going to happen until next year. |
I have a Dell, and I haven't had any problems with it. My first computer was an IBM, and that was a great computer. My oldest daughter now has it ... has never had a single problem, and I think I bought it in '98. I'm thinking of getting a laptop. I've used my youngest daughter's, and I love it. |
