Looking for coolest Verizen phone for email and text Can anyone tell me what would be the best and newest phone from Verizen thats best for email and text? I'm looking for one that would alert me to new email and enable me to txt faster and easier??? I currently have the pink razr v3. Anyone know? I love little gagets and getting the newest technology! |
Awww, darn! I wish you were with T-Mobile! :( I just recently got a SK3 (Sidekick 3) and LOVE it!!!   It has a full QWERTY keyboard, and flips around and swings open - it also alerts you when you have new e-mail (you can sync it with any e-mail account, I use Yahoo) - and it is FANTASTIC for texting because of the full QWERTY keyboard. Actually, this phone is so popular BECAUSE of it's awesome e-mail and text features ;) It also has a full internet browser, as well as a "scroll ball" (like the wheel on a mouse, only this is a little ball that lights up and changes colors, kind of looks like a little pearl). It also has all of the most popular messengers (Yahoo, AOL, and MSN) built in, as well as an MP3 Music Player ;) And of course a 1.3 MP camera, and so much more - it is just AWESOME! I LOVE it and am so glad that I chose this phone...I know that I will have this one for AWHILE ;) By the way, before I got this one I also had the Hot Pink Razr V3 :p |
i remember seeing this texting phone from verizon let me go look lol! |

I was thinking about getting a Motorola Q. I would like a Treo but I can't see spending that much on a phone. |

My husband, my friend and I all have Razors from Verizon Wireless and we absolutely do not recommend them. They have extremely poor battery life and drop calls left and right...even in good service areas. We are very disappointed with them. |
i had 2 razors and traded them in both times! i hated them! i have sprint now and i wish i would have got verizon |

i have the motorola q and it's great for texting and e-mail. i used to have the sidekick 3 and the lg 98000 (the older version of lg Nv).. im happy with the motorola q as i do not like to pay for ring tones, i just put whatever song i want from either my computer, or i record it on my phone and use it.. it's real nifty ;) |
Thanks for everyone's suggestions!!! I'm going to check them out. I just started my contract with Verizon so it looks like I'll have to pay full price for a phone if I change. Anyone know of discount phone places? So far with my Razr V3 I haven't dropped a call, always have reception and the battery have been good. I'm just looking for more gadets :) I think you can sign up for email alerts on the phone I have for $5 per month. Anyone have that now? How does it work??? I had Nextel before this and it was horrible. |

It seems each new phone they come out with gets worse and worse. I, too, am locked in for a while. |
Im going to add my thoughts into here. My fiance knows someone who works with Motorola and we get to test phones before they even come out.. I had a the Q (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=2729) you have to get a Data Plan, in my opinon it was horrible. I had the MOTOKRZR K1m (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=2586) loved everything about it. Right now I have the MOTORAZR maxx Ve (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=2993) I've had no problems so far, battery life is great. Would recommend. I have a friend who buys his cell phones off EBay. The prices are ok and they are legit phones, not stolen. I will see if he can pass me on the link. |

Verizon won't be getting the iPhone for quite some time. If Apple will be allowing other companies to use it at all. My boyfriend works for AT&T (Cingular) and they're the only company that has it. He's on the iPhone support team so it's all he deals with. Most people who bought it the day they came out are JUST getting it set up. There's been a ton of delays with everything. So far, no actual problems with the phones...just LONG delays. He did say, though, that customers are upset that it's not a PDA. So, I guess people misunderstood and thought it was like a palm pilot. Plus, even with a 3-year contract you have to pay full retail price (Apple made that rule, not AT&T). Apple also made it so you can't take it back without paying 10% for a restocking fee (and you can only do that w/in 14 days). My boyfriend said Apple made all these weird policies that AT&T has to follow, too. |
Treo What about the Treo for verizon? Any one have or know how that is???? Here's one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/VERIZON-PALM-TRE...QQcmdZViewItem |

I have the new Samsung u740. It has EVERYTHING including the Qwerty keyboard. I love typing with it as opposed to the tap method. It comes in gold or black. I got the gold one. Here's what it looks like: http://img307.imageshack.us/img307/4952/u740ca1.jpg It's just a great phone!!! |

I like how the Envy's Qwerty keyboard is, but I don't like the overall look of the phone, it's long and heavy. But that's just me! I have friend's who love the Envy. I just got my new phone a week or so ago and was debating on the Envy. But, after playing with both phones (and considering the above) I went with the u740 and I'll stick with my Samsung. :p |

Now, if you really want a new phone, you might wanna check eBay. Buying a phone outright from Verizon before your two years are up is a lot of money! |

My sister's boyfriend has that, and he actually doesn't want it anymore! I think if you don't have the internet or you don't really need a PDA, it's no use getting something like that. I know Verizon internet is what, $40 a month? No that's just crazy. |
