Look at these beautiful dogs at the animal shelter. 4 Attachment(s) I have recently started volunteering at the animal shelter in the next town over. I take pictures and send to the newspaper to promote adoption. I believe they had around 75 dogs yesterday and probably 20 cats. Look at these beautiful dogs. |
I wish I could afford to take them all...:( |
The baby in the second pic looks like a fox! Very cute. I used to volunteer at the animal shelter when I was in high school. I ended up bringing a puppy home. |
Poor babies!!! I love the 2nd one. |
oh wow....they are beautiful!! i wish i could adopt all the dogs that need it, but that is just impossible :) |
That Australian Shepherd is beautiful! I've always wanted a red merle. I have a blue merle and a black tri. How gorgeous! |

Fly number two over to me... what an adorable little face! :) I hope they all find homes soon. |
Bless you. What a wonderful thing to do. Before we moved here I helped at our local shelter. Mostly bathing & cleaning up the new ones & taking care of babies. |
Awww, they're all so sweet -- I don't know how you stand it. I certainly commend you for it.:) |

These pictures are so hard to see - their little eyes are all begging for love and a home. All the best to you working there - I did it a long time ago and could barely sleep and ended up with way too many cats (I lived in an apartment at the time) 75 dogs is such a high number :( Do they really make efforts to find them homes at this shelter ?? I've heard some only give them 5 days and that's just NOT long enough |
I love them all but look at #3's eyes wow how pretty. What a wonderful thing you are doing. I did this too when I live closer to it now I am to far:( |
I wish I was rich, so that I could buy a huge barn-like-house an d gather all these animals together, hire people to feed them and groom them... basically show love & care for them. They don't deserve this.... |
wow...thats a lot of dogs in a shelter. our shelters in the 3 closest cities never have more than 10. how sad i hope they all find a home |
The reason there are so many dogs (and cats)in the shelter is because most people around here do not spay or neuter their pets and they let them run free (ignorance)...when you try to talk to them about it they will say "it ruins them" "they a'int worth a nickel after that" "they wont hunt a flea after that". Plus there are soooo many stray dogs and cats that they just reproduce and end up at someones house and then they bring them to the shelter. There is really no laws or restrictions here (there def needs to be). It is really bad here. I could go on and on, but I will spare you guys....;) |
Awww, I hope your photos bring people in. They should, they're great shots! I |

awww there little faces behind the fence makes me sooo sad. Reminds me of that commerical they had on tv. It made me cry everytime I seen it. |
oh no poor little number 1, with his paw up...isnt that just the cutest. I bet you have a hard time not taking me all home. At least you can help them out as much as you can. You might even start taking pics weekly and putting on here. Never know....you might find them a home. You could be the go between. #2 is face is tooo cute. #3 #4 are adorable too. |
Bless you for doing what you can to help out. It just breaks your heart to see these beatiful faces wanting a home to call their own and a mommy and daddy to love them. I do hope they get homes and someone to love them. |
