FLOODING!Will my fellow Yters come rescue me?
 

look at these from tuesday in my work parking lot

you can also see the street in front. there were vans and everything stuck.

if you look hard enough in the 3rd pic you can see the yellow lines from the parking spots


we have flooded 2 times this week!

seriously we coudlnt go through the streets SUVs were getting stuck and the water was over the tires of cars. i took pics on my cell. the parking lot of my work was flooded and i couldnt get out of my car lol. they got men out there with trucks pumping up the water. i also found a dead kitten that drowned that was soo sad. that was tuesday also a man fell in the river by the falls and drowned because the water was rising too fast and the current

then yesterday it rained and rained so on my way to work our river was covering trees and this hotels parking lot was flooded they were evacuating people and they were trumping through knee deep water. there is a play ground on the other side and you could only see the top of the jungle gym. Also there are roads down there and you couldnt see the water is almost all the way up to the bridge(main highway)

and it sucks more because its not supposed to stop raining till after tomorrow.

at 6:00am this morning it was over 22 ft and was supposed to peak at 1pm but they said its still rising.

Wow! It's raining here in Waco as well, but nothing like that.

Seriously, if you need to escape, we can make room!!

and the street is lower than the parking lot so think how high that water is!

i think since texas has been going through such a drought that we prayed and prayed and prayed for rain and BOY DID WE GET IT.

we are staying safe. just it mostly happens at night so then you wake up the next morning and have to go look and make sure your not flooded in.

i think the storm tonight might possibly miss us.

I have a kayak....we'll save you! Do your pets have life jackets?lol

I know what you mean. We've been getting a lot of rain in Houston but not to the point where it floods. Please be safe and extra careful. There was an alert about alligators being seen in the water.

OH dear, we had bad flooding 15 miles north of where we live, but nothing like that here. Just so much rain. :2omg:

They need the rain where the forest fires are ... did someone send the rain to the wrong place?

where my house is its not bad we have a lot of drainage ditches but if it keeps raining i think they may over flow. but in town where i work is horrible

Sometimes you have to be careful for what you wish for. It might just move your way. :D

I use to live in Wichita Falls. I recognize several of the businesses that are shown and it's quite scary. WF has NEVER flooded in the 20+ years that I lived there. SCARY!!!
