Texas weather
 
My sister,who was born and raise here in California moved to Oklahoma about a year and a half ago in tornado alley stays scared chitless.:eek: She is now in Texas near Fort Worth. With all the storms around there lately she has been a wreck.
Lightening struck her roof and bew out there tv,damage their roof,hail has done severe damge to their vehicles.She told me lastnight she misses California and wants to move back so badly.
I'm not knocking the state of Texas, I love it there,not sure if I could handle the weather though. Many Texans feel that way about California.

I guess no place is perfect. If there was the perfect place everyone would be there LOL]I grew up in Florida Although I love Florida and my family that is still there I HATE the heat and humidity.
We have it here to in NE but we get all 4 seasons and I love that :)

No there is no safe place, but the population in California shows that it's one of the preferred places to live.
I miss the down home people of Texas, but there is nothing like the weather and scenery of California and of course family.

Texas has 2 Seasons Summer and Christmas.

Actually most Texans have a distain for California....even those that have never traveled out of Texas. We met a young lady in Glen Rose, TX who had never been to Fort Worth or Dallas....maybe 40 mile drive. She considered both the evil cities.. There are alot of people in Texas that way, have never traveled out of their home towns

LOL yes I live near Dallas for alomst 3 years. It was Florida with out the beach to me LOL

I have heard how beautiful California is...would love to visit San Diego one day. We lived in Houston, Texas (in a suburb called, The Woodlands) before moving back to Missouri. I have to say, I do NOT miss the heat and humidity of Houston!! I do, however, miss the Winter there....I am not a fan of the ice here in the Winter months. I loved that The Woodlands still had gorgeous flowers everywhere throughout the year. :) In the end, though, I missed my favorite season (Fall) and Missouri has Fall seasons that are stunning!

We found the people of Texas to be some of the most friendly people we have met anywhere. In 2004, we visited Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston, and it just seemed like everyone was super nice and friendly. Out here in CA, people are mean and rushed and angry.

I would seriously consider moving to the Dallas area if we ever leave CA. Houston was a little TOOOOO humid for me, plus they get hit by hurricanes in that area.

Yes, Texas people are friendlier, and there is a sense of family and church. But, with people moving from all over the country some of that is being lost. Dallas is humid too. What I missed about California was the mountains and beaches.

By the way Dallas gets hit with ice storms too.
