up date on the YT cook book I contacted Morris Cook Book (publisher) and she is sending me a starter kit. Since we will be submitting recipes online, it will save us money to use the online form, you will go into "typensave" and submit your recipe. I want to keep it to 250 -300 recipes, the amount of recipes affects the price of the book. We will be going with a soft cover spiral cook book. Now, the 1st step I need is the title of the cook book, no recipes can be submitted until we have a title. So here is where I need your help. Are you wanting to have a contest on the title? Someone suggested "Yorkie Talk Cooks" Sandshara has generously agreed to donate her time and talent for the cook book cover! So I will be working with her on the cover. After a title has been agreed upon, we can start submitting recipes. Please if you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to ask or PM me. I'm new at this, so any help is appreciated! I will need some proof readers, drawlins27 will also be working with me to make sure we make the best cook book ever! I have been in contact with admin on where the money will go, I know a lot of you want some of it to go to yorkie rescue and I also agree. I will let you know what he says. Thanks so much to all you have supported the idea of the YT cook book! Missy |
Sounds cool. I like Yorkie Talk Cooks for a title. And, as a former newspaper editor, I'm also happy to be a volunteer proofreader. Since I don't cook much, my recipe contributions would be on the meager side.:p |
I'd like to help proof read. I like this title (by Ozzie'sPerson) best "YorkieTalk's Cooking for Canines -- And the People Who Love Them" I feel "Yorkie Talk Cooks" is too blah...IMO. |

I like Yorkie Talk Cooks - plain simple and to the point. I like the other title, but like Missy said in the other cookbook thread, it implies that it is more of a doggie cookbook and this cookbook will have mainly human recipes in it, with some dog recipes - is that right Missy? I can't wait to see what they look like!!! Thanks for putting this together Missy! |
I like Yorkie Talk Cooks too. I am also a former editor, so if you need anyone else to proofread, I'd be happy to do it too:) |
Great Missy. How about "YORKIE TALK MOMMA'S FROM AROUND THE WORLD CLASSIC RECIPIES"? lol We do have many members from all over the world. Whatever is deceided is fine with me. Don't want to be difficult, you have enough to deal with. |

Can't say Momma, cause we may have men who submit recipes lol Keep em coming, and we can have a vote. Yes, this is MAINLY human recipes with a section for doggie recipes. I did get a PM from admin, he says that YT has donated a lot of money to Y rescue this year, so it looks like all proceeds will go to YT to keep YT up and running. Thanks so much! |
im easy,, i like em both... |

My vote would go to YorkieTalk Cooks. I like YorkieTalk Cooks from around the world but that sounds like the cookbook is going to feature international recipes with a focus on different types of cuisine. |
Any one is fine with me. Can't wait to submit recipes. |
They all sound so good what to pick............................ |
Yayyyy .... sounds like it's really coming along!! When the time comes, how many recipes can we contribute? ;) |
