One proud momma 4 Attachment(s) Yes I have to show off here. My Daughter Des is growing. Now 16 and is starting to pursue her dream of becoming a model. She just graduated from Barbizon modeling and is just finishing her acting. We will be meeting with a couple of agnates next month. Here are a few pictures of her last photo shoot. Thank you all!!! Yes I am very proud of her. She is a very good girl and has a good head on her shoulders. I too went though the modeling thing but didn't see it though. It seems to be something she really wants and we will support her wether she does well with it or decides it's not what she wants after all. After the $'s we spent she better not quit,,, j/k!!! This photo shoot was through the school. I thought they did a really good job. We have another one coming up in a couple of weeks to add to her portfolio. (Formal and swimsuit) I don't recall the name of the woman. The school hooked us up but you are correct they don't come cheap! Quote:

When I went to school for it they did none of the pics.So that is a bonus. They pay very well though we got 120 and hour for certain shots. Feet work was 100 an hour.So I am sure the pay range has went up for that was 20 years ago!!! I did not like to travel though didnt mind the 3-4 hour trips but did not like it any longer.(I had a daughter then also so was hard to travel far). Hope she keeps it up. Will be a good future for her. |
Really,,, the going rate depends on different jobs these days. I didn't get quite that far. I didnt finish school but I did get to be in a couple fashion shows and I was in Low Rider Mag. But L R M had nothing to do with modeling. I just knew the right people. I hope Des keeps it up too. She seems to really want it. Quote:

I graduated from Barbizon also - a very long time ago (when Twiggy the perfect model:eek: ). Things have changed so much in that business. Your dtr has an incredibly beautiful face and should make it far in the business. She is drop-dead gorgeous and you should be very proud of her. I'm sending her Best Wishes for a long and successful career. |
