Good smelling carpet cleaners? Can anyone suggest a GREAT smelling carpet cleaner??? One that will stay? If they could make one that smells like Downy fabric softner I'd be buying it in bulk :) Any suggestions? |
Any kind? Is like a spray-on kind OK? When Britney was a puppy, she completely destroyed a rug I had.. it smelled horrible. The only thing that worked was a spray on foam. I believe it was by Arm and Hammer (whoever makes the most popular/standard brand of baking soda). I don't remember it having like a good smell, but it completely removed the odor. |
The Woolite Oxy formula smells wonderful! |
So... is there one that smells good AND takes care of urine problems?? I shampooed a few days ago and the smell almost made me sick - literally. I hate those chemical smells. :( |
Why not saturate the area with a urine odor remover, then shampoo, then saturate again. I mix "Get Serious" solution in with my carpet shampoo and find it works great. You can get it at PetsMart. I buy it by the gallon. |

but.. If it's something I catch right away I soak up with a paper towel and then soak some paper towels and drip some laundry detergent (Or dawn) on it and clean the spot. They both work great. |
I just read that you are looking for your carpet cleaner. I like the Bissel Fiber and something cleaner. It did great, and it doesn't smell too overwhelming. There is also something I bought at Lowes (a bit more pricey) I can't remember the name, but it is the BEST I've EVER EVER used in my cleaner. |
How to keep the carpets clean and odor free? The easy and reliable way to keep the carpets clean and bad odor-free is to vacuum them regularly and properly. The another less expensive way is to clean the carpet with the solution of the baking soda and vinegar. Apply this solution on the affected area or the area with the stubborn stains. This solution will help to a great extent for the removal of the stains and bad smells from the carpets. In the last step, clean your carpet with the warm water and let it dry in sun-shade for a few hours. If such kind of home remedies is unable to provide sufficient results, then the professional carpet cleaning is the best solution for the deep cleaning of the carpets. |
