Puppies are Biodegradable I thought this was an interesting (however horrible the issue might be) art exhibit on puppy mills, specifically the ones of Lancaster County, PA. www.puppiesarebiodegradable.com I think it'll do a good job bringing attention to puppy mills; especially to those who might not be aware of it. Philadelphia's art galleries are pretty popular, so I'm sure it'll get a lot of exposure. It runs from July 6 to July 30th, I believe. For those who are familar with the area, it's actually taking place at the Real World Philadelphia house. Anyone plan on visiting? I plan on going on the day it first opens (which happens to be First Friday (again, you'll know what that is if you are familiar with the area). |
Wow! That will be great for exposing puppymills and educating the public. You should join www.millbusters.com and post this on there. Thanks for posting this here! |

That's awesome! We'd love to see you over at Millbusters!;) |
I agree - that's a great way to educate the public and OMG that starved little dog on their site was just hard to look at. And - yes - come join us at Millbusters ...it's just recently been revived & we're hoping to have alot of good information there - Our Kim (simonandhallie) is Da Boss & Millbusters is her new baby |
There are some horrors in this world that I cannot deal with...that is one of them. That is like concentration camps for dogs--and that is no exaggeration... :( |
Oh my gosh, thanks for posting that. When I clicked on and read the copy of the news article from the Lancaster New Era, the paper I get, I couldn't believe that Stoltzfus man is in West Hempfield Twp. Ugh... that's the township of my place of employment. :( So close to me and I never knew those idot/horrible puppy millers were in that area, I thought they were just in the areas of Lancaster County where the amish/old order mennonites live. I hope to get to Philadephia this summer sometime. If I get to go when the exibit is still there, I'm going to try my hardest to attend. |
It's me again..... I just took a look at Millbusters.com I'm going to join that group this weekend sometime. Lots of interesting information there and I saw where some of us YT'ers are on there also. Congrats to Kim & V for being Moderators on there. :) Gotta get to bed though, big day ahead of us tomorrow. :snore: It's Yorkie Day in PA to benefit the SaveaYorkieRescue and were going to go. :) |

This makes me sad. But the exhibit is wonderful exposer...may it's intentions work, and these mills be closed down, for good. |

Since it opens tomorrow, I thought I would bump this. I've noticed the other day that they have huge banners (probably 15' long) outside.. they sure where attracting a lot of attention. |
