Help me with my bathroom! I have been thinking about painting my bathroom for a long time. Right now it is a chameleon green with white tile and white fixtures and white cabinets. When I chose the paint, I thought I was getting a nice sage green. My usual problem. I would really like to have that nice sage green, or perhaps a pretty zen gold that would look nice with some brick red accents. Does anyone have experience with any Behr paint in these colors that has worked for them? I need some help picking the one that will look like the swatch when it goes on the wall. There is no window in my bathroom and my bathroom is very small. |
You might try buying the small cans of a couple shades and then painting a board with each color and place it in your bathroom. The lighting is different in your rooms than the store so it's hard to get exactly what you want buying from those tiny color chips. Hope that helps. |
If you have a sample of the color you like on a piece of fabric or an article of clothing they can color match it at the store...Also,I heard one of the hardware stores, like Lowe's maybe, has a program that for about $5 you can put your own bathroom pic on there & try colors out.....I had sagey like green color a few years back from The Home Depot by Ralph Lauren that I loved, I can't remember the right name now, I loved it but I have since changed it because I changed the bedding...Some of the stores now have premixed colors in little 4 oz. jars that cost very little to try....Good luck :) |
I have been painting my whole house the last few weeks. My living is summer pudding, which is a dark plum color. (one wall) and Sulfolk tan, which to me is a sage green. The summer pudding is valspar brand that I got from lowes at 26 dollars a gallon. the suffolk tan is the walmart paint. I prefer the Walmart brand over the high end paint. It was awful to work with, and was really like a summer pudding. I still have several rooms to paint and haven't decided on the colors, I say that is a good idea just purchase the smallest amount and try it in the room. Also when using the darker colors it is a must to use a tinted primer first. Have fun! |
