Adopted a dog I have been thinking about adopting another dog. Never really went and looked for one but one found its way to me. The body is solid black, the back leg is gold color, the front leg is gold and white. The face is brown with tons of white on it. "No" it isn't a yorkie. :p It is a pure bred Border Collie. However, her coat color is different from the normal black/white Border Collie. She is known as a saddle-back sable coated border collie. Except for the white, the coloring and pattern is almost the same a my yorkies! :D |
Congratulations. What's her name? The Border Collie is one of the smartest breeds and easy to train. How old do you think she is? |

ohhhhhh Sasha is very pretty! Good for you! Hallie was neglected too and it is a lot of work but so enjoyable to watch them learn to trust and love again! You are a good person for giving her a loving home! |
Lucky you - Lucky dog! She's beautiful and border collies are so great! It was the first dog my son ever owned, a male named Shep. He was smart and sweet and hard working, he would herd the kittens and children! He was laid back and I swear you could read his mind through his eyes and expressions. Thank you, from all us doggie lovers, for taking this precious girl into your home and heart! :yeahthat: |

Congratulations!! What a "find"!! You all know how smart I think all our Yorkies are, but I gotta say .... Border Collies are the smartest!! My son was having his lunch at the park one day and when he threw his trash in the garbage he found 2 little ones in a garbage can at the park!! They were just a few weeks old and being eaten alive by fleas! He took them back to work with him and immediately found one a home with a lady he worked with ... the other one was claimed by my daughter-in-law who never ever made any indication she wanted a dog!! That was several years ago and she is so beautiful and smart!! When she was younger, she would jump almost as high as my head to catch her frisbie ... my son trained her and she even knows hand commands!! I call her "our dumpster dog"!! Yep! You got yourself a winner!! Can't wait to see more pics and hear about your progress with her! ;) |
