An old friend died... ...late last night in a car wreck. He was with his girlfriend and 4 other friends. Alcohol wasn't a factor, but the 4 that died were not wearing seatbelts...the two survivors were. Please pray for everyone touched by this incredible tragedy and PLEASE buckle up. I knew Daniel, and had the biggest crush on him. We would spend hours on the phone. He was the funniest and most genuinely happy person I have ever met. I am just in shock that he's gone. Oddly enough I'm thankful for some things...I'm happy that he passed quickly, without suffering and that he was with his girlfriend who he seemed to love so much (she also passed). I'm also thankful that he is in a better place, looking down on everyone that he touched in life. I'm sure he's smiling just as big as ever right now. It's just such a sad situation, though. http://www.myfoxwghp.com/myfox/pages...Y&pageId=1.1.1 http://www.ajc.com/services/content/metro/cobb/stories/2007/06/10/0611metcobbfatal.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=13 KENNESAW, Ga. -- Police say 4 of the 6 people traveling in a Jeep Liberty on I-575 North near Bells Ferry Road were killed when the vehicle lost control just before midnight Sunday. It went off an embankment and flipped several times. 19-year old Cara Holland of Canton was driving the SUV. She and the front passenger, 21-year old Roy Padgett survived. All four people in the backseat were killed. They're identified as Ashlee Kraft, Suzanne Cranford, Michael Mabry and Daniel Branson. Police say they were not wearing seatbelts. Both Holland and Padgett are being treated for serious injuries. Police are investigating the incident. They say alcohol use is not suspected as a contributing factor in this collision. |
 Oh my gosh! That is so sad. That gave me goose bumps reading that. Life is just so short. I'm sorry to hear you lost an old friend. How hard it must be for you. Hugs to you :) |
1 Attachment(s) So sorry for the tragic loss of your friend!!! It is mandatory in Florida for front seat occupants to wear seat belts (which I do faithfully) but not for the backseat occupants unless they are children. Many thoughts coming your way! |

That's how it was in NC which is where he was from (not sure if it still is, I moved away almost 4 years ago), but they were in Georgia...I don't know the laws there. They also had 4 people in the backseat, which was made for 3 people. |
Thanks :( |
Oh wow I'm so sorry! That is crazy. A guy I went to HS with transferred to Florida and did his senior year there. His best friend drove him home but as he was walking away from the car his friend accidently killed him when the car went reverse instead of going forward. He was behind the car and it instantly killed him. He was only 18. I didn't know him that well but my bf did and it's crazy how one day they are alive and the next they're gone and you never know what is going to happen. :( |
So sorry to hear about this. THoughts and prayers for you! |
How tragic and their families must be so devestated....I'm sorry you lost your friend. I've lost several to cars and it seems so senseless ....:( Sending hugs and I'm so sorry. |
i am so sorry for the family who lost a loved one. how sad |
I'm so sorry for your loss and for the families involved:( In Georgia, you do have to wear seatbelts in the backseat. |

I will pray for peace and comfort for all. When I read something like this I want to gather my sons and just hug them without letting go. Every moment is truly a blessing. |
